Family and Friends Remember Ruben Narcisse (Schmoldt)

Some folks beam from ear to ear.

Others have grins that stretch a mile wide.

Ruben Narcisse had a smile that imposed its own gravitational force.

His wide, beaming, tooth-filled smile drew the youths of his churches to follow his lead.

I wept reading that and I weep thinking of Ruben. What a tragic, tragic loss. I feel so bad for his family and friends. Ruben was a Cowboy and would have helped the program, the school, and the state in so many ways over the next 4-5 years. We all lost a really good one. So D*mn sad.

Amazing young man, and such a horrible ending to his life. A player with a heart that big would have had an incredible positive impact both on and off the field.

The only comfort is that he's now in a better place, and at least his family has that knowledge to fall back on. Rest In Peace, Ruben.
