Falcons @ Pokes GDT

Svoboda took some knocks tonight. On TV it looked like he was dazed and bleeding from the mouth but still saying to the trainer "I am okay." He's been beat up on and off the field. Hope this is a turn around. I saw some great passes. Don't care if its Air Force. And he looked so excited running in for the last TD. I will admit, I am pulling for the kid.

Have definitely seen it called in that very situation....touchdown still stands though in that case...far less consequential.

In this case (with Bertagnole), it was pretty textbook....but sometimes, you are right, it doesn't get flagged. I don't think Bertagnole was really taunting....just celebrating/flexing ...but it happened right on top of the other player.
True enough. If he was two yards further away...no flag.

Good much needed win going into a bye...that was a great halftime adjustment the coaches did, and from listening tonite this was a much needed win...2 weeks to see if Waylee makes a difference the rest of the season or not...Good win, even if AF is down from normal

QBs need reps and Svoboda didn't have a lot of game experience coming into the season. This obviously bought him some more time. Being able to drop back, analyze a situation, and deliver the ball in the matter of seconds is a tough job and there is no way to measure or train for the mental to arm to accuracy other than game reps. Hopefully this is the type of game that he can build on and we start to see some improvement.

How has he been beat up off the field?

"Beat up" is just a euphemism. Obviously, I don't mean it literally. I think the fans sentiment about benching him has been made pretty well known. Not at all saying its not justified. He'd have to live in a closet not to know that most of Pokes Nation wants him benched. I also think we have some real issues with the center, the offensive line, the running back injuries, the corners, the bad calls, the mistakes, etc. that have all contributed to a bad start. I don't read too much about people demanding that Nofoafia be benched. The kid has had a rough start and its been really hard to watch. He is the same age as my son and I'd hate to see my son being the center of negative attention...rightly or wrongly. We've had a miserable time watching this team. Pretty sure he's not flying high about his performance. I am not being critical of anyone. But I am pulling for every kid that puts on a Wyoming jersey and honors it. Hope he kicks ass for as long as he is a Cowboy.

First time AFA ripped off his helmet, they also broke his nose. No flag. Second time they ripped off his helmet no injury, but again no flag.
