Sports By Brooks is reporting that Fairchild has been fired at CSU. Ryan Thorburn has reported that CSU will have a press conference at 1 in regards to the athletic dept.

Fairchild should have alot of respect despite losing a ton of games. I doubt they would fire him right before the border war. He hasn't done anything wrong except lose, so they should at least reciprocate the dignity and respect he has given them and let him finish out his final game.

It would be extremely odd timing to fire Fairchild today, unless of course, he pulled a Schroyer, and I think that's unlikely.

Sounds like Brooks was wrong...again. He is the national enquirer of sports reporting. Entertaining, but actual facts are few and far between.
In regards to CSU, there must be something behind the scenes involving Kowalcyk.
It will be interesting to see if Fairchild is fired later on as well or not.

CSU hired Jack Graham, apparently a former QB of theirs and business leader, to replace the AD. Surprised they announced the AD so soon.

This is some crazy hire. First of all, Graham is a former businessman with no AD experience. Plus, He lives in Boulder and it doesn't sound like he plans to move to Fort collins. They went this route before with banker Mark Driscoll. Driscoll extended Dale Layer and basically never did anything his entire tenure as AD. As someone once said " do you have to take an incompetentcy test to get this job?".
