Facilities....

What's next for Football facilities? I am not a Burman fan, but he has done a decent job of improving facilities. What is next on the agenda?

I wouldn’t mind them putting seats throughout the War. I’m not planning on going to a game any time soon (until the end of the Sawful era) but the bleachers there suck.

Not sure what is on the docket, however, I feel he has done a piss-poor job with facilities. Naming a few of them - the reseating of the AA (and now the War), the use of our practice facility for donor tailgates the day before and the day of the game (when in inclement weather it could be used by the team), the Wildcatter suites not being extended to the edges of the east stands, and of course, my favorite, the $50,000,000 pool debacle.

Well once when we sort in a real conference, I was hoping adding seats in the south end zone and getting us over the 30,000 mark.

Oh well....we are what we are now. Our window was open and the boys that know everything screwed it up. Some one should write a book --and yes we did get past the Black 14 incident with Akers in 1976 and the Roach era, but after that just one misfire, mistake and bad decision makers have us where we are. Even Joe Glenn was a world beater, but he really had some very bad assistants that he lived and died with and ultimately died with.

I'd like them to invest in some moving boxes for our current football coaches and AD to use (sooner rather than later). And then, invest in whatever we need to fill those boxes with (cash, new office chair, paperweight, paperclips, whatever) to bring competent, innovative leadership into the vacant offices that Sawful and Burman leave behind.

It is friggin' depressing to think that we are honestly and likely facing two more years of eating the Sawful/Burman crap sandwich before we can move forward. This year will be bad enough. Next year will be downright unbearable.
