Presser Tuesday. He may be a gonner...he sure gave UNM enough reasons, even without going 0 & 6!

WOW! Very interesting. But, I bet they only suspend him for 1 game. Just my :twocents:

I thought about that, but they have a BYE this week...next game is hosting UNLV on the 24th.

You bring up a good point about the punishment being more severe...as in one bye week, and one week suspended...but...

If I were AD / Pres for a day at NM...this would be the time to lop him. Think about it...bye week to settle things down and turn them over to interim George Barlow or Darrell Dickey. That provides two weeks for the interim to "appear" to right the ship. If NM is going to win ANY games this year, it will be at home on 10/24 against the horrifically aweful Rebels, or on the beach 10/31 against the aweful Aztecs.

That all being said...again, let's say Locksley pulls off wins against UNLV & SDSU (somewhat likely)...moving them to a 2 & 6 record...it will be pretty hard to let him go without at least one or two more years as he is "righting the ship"!

Also...how much time until things really die down, and Lobonation forgives him for harrassing his AA (allegedly) and jacking his WR coach (allegedly). Hmmmm....

I am with you McPeachy, BUT, if they were gonna drop the hammer and axe him, they would have done it already. The AD shot his wad and backed him 100%. STUPID MOVE. Now, will the HR department have more stones than the AD? If he gets fired, then the HR does have more stones than the AD. If not, then the AD wins, and Locksley will be around for a while. But, who is the President gonna back? That is what is interesting to me. This should have been a no brainer. Coach hits another coach causing blood lose=immediate 2 game suspension. Then this would be all done. But the AD shoots his wad, backs the head coach, and now it is a scandal.
My best bet is that Locksley is gone Tuesday. The HR department will show they have bigger gonads than the AD. AD will be fired by end of the season!

Just look at how things get covered up. Didnt someone in the CJC get a DUI and/or some questionalbe sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior allegations? The University was able to keep it under wraps. If it would have gotten full blown coverate, then jobs would need filling. The AD really mishandled this at NM, and now everyone is gonna pay for it come tomorrow.

Personally I hope they don't fire him I would like to see every other team in our conference get three years of their own version of Vic Koening
