Eastern Michigan posts historic victory at Wyoming 48-29...

The first recruiting class shouldn't be an excuse. Bohl chose to recruit late,he didn't have to coach his old school.

Even if he didn't coach the final game, he still only had a month to recruit his first class instead of 2 weeks.

We gave Joe Glenn five years so he could overcome that short recruiting cycle for his first season. We'll do the same for Bohl.

Regardless, calling for Bohl's head in year 2 is something a millinial would say. He's supposed to fix DC's tendency to recruit small, slow, and weak with one recruiting class?

He'll get five years here unless the wheels come off and he finishes 0-12 in year 4.

This loss makes me wonder why more people weren't jumping off the Bohl-bandwagon.

However, a win Friday night, and I will be almost reversed on my stance. 3-1 would be soooo nice. A Bronze Boot the next week would be even better.

That's pretty harsh and extremely impatient to jump ship in the second game of a coaches second season.

He deserves at least four years, if not five, to clean up DC's mess.

Hell - I was crucified on this message board for saying 'ol Bohly needed 4 more years (starting this year) to really see if the "break it all the way down to build it back up" system will work here at UW. So watch your back CJ!

I still think that though, but may not need it, if he continues to progress, there will be a contract extension in his future.

Damn, you should have warned me before I said it. You we're right. :D

I didn't know this was such a touchy subject.

That's your opinion, wasn't mine.

You don't find it a little unrealistic to have all of Wyoming's problems solved by the 14th game you've coached for Wyoming?

He at least deserves the time to recruit the whole team, and even an extra year to recruit, since his first year had two weeks to recruit due to NDSU's national title game.

That's kind of standard. Coaches get 4-5 years.

Don't put words in my mouth.

I absolutely think it is unrealistic to have all of Wyoming's problems solved by the 14th game. I never said otherwise.

What I said was, I lost all faith in Bohl when he got blown out by Eastern freakin' Michigan.

There is a big difference between having all our problems solved, and not being blown out by the worst program in the FBS.

That makes sense. It was a terrible loss. It made me doubt the future of Cowboy football. I'll admit that.

We'll see. So far this season has given us a lot of hope.

I felt better as soon as I saw the first snap on defense this year, where Chase didn't get blown off the ball.

If we wouldn't have replaced War Daddy with Russell Dennison, I would probably feel what you felt last year right now. To me, Bohl's hiring of Dennison has made the biggest difference.

It's good to hear that Bohl has almost erased your doubts this year. It would be nice if we can put together a 7 or 8 win season and get most of the fan base back on board, since we only have 16 upper classmen in the 2 deep and are going to see a lot of improvement over the next two seasons.

Well, possibly because of a) it was only Bohl's 2nd game in his second season; and b) your hero, Dickface Christensen practically scrapped the team...

Yeah, yeah, I know- it's your opinion, but based on it, I'm probably not going to ask you for any character judgments or betting picks...

Hell, we go to a bowl, there might be a parade

And a huge one at that. Half the fan base would jizz in their pants if we got to a bowl game.

I would.

not only jizz em, I'd probably go to that bowl game myself, as long as it isn't Albuquerque, been there many times, done that

Recruiting doesn't start in December of a player's senior year of HS. No matter if he had left NDSU the minute he agreed to coach here or not, he was still starting the recruiting cycle late.
