We don't have the luxury to sleep on anybody, I thought we'd man handle UNC but they really didn't , I love the win, but AFA isn't what they usually are, but it's still a rivalry. Texas State anytime travelling to the Lone Star state we have to be focused. We're just gonna have to take them a game at a time....

I agree with stymeman, we can't sleep on anybody left on our schedule, we aren't good enough yet to just "show up" and win a football game. As far as needing to run game to set up a passing game, meh. I don't agree with that at all, at least not at the college level. There are and have been many teams that were and are quite successful at just lining up and throwing the ball all over the field. The Houston teams with Andre Ware and David Klinger come to mind, as well as any team that June Jones coaches. Even the NFL is now way more pass oriented than it ever has been, in fact the Packer just had their first 100 yard rusher almost three season on Sunday and they've been pretty successful with Rodger throwing the ball all over the field. I guess just do what you do best, be who you are.

The Wyoming-Utah State game may be a track meet with a lot on the line. Lots of games between now and then, but I don't think there's a team on the schedule that Wyoming can't beat. Not one. As a matter of fact, I think that we should beat 7 of the 9 teams left on the schedule, with the exception of games at Boise and at Utah State. Both are still winnable.

BSU's defense is not what it was. Especially in the passing game. USU, their front 7 is pretty solid, their secondary is really the only questionable area. And their offense is much like ours, centered around a very good dual threat QB who has a similar play style to Brett. Also have a pretty balanced offense as well.

BSU proved they can move the ball against bad defenses, but struggle against average or better defenses. And their own defense, as I said, is not what it has been in previous years. For example, if Air Force's recievers knew how to catch, that game is a lot closer. Tennessee Martin rolled up 400 yards of offense as well.

I agree all around. They're road games. That's the only reason I don't have high confidence, but I still think both teams are definitely beatable.

Last year, there were a ton of criticisms of BSU as well. I remember everyone licking their chops after that dreadful BYU game, along with that close New Mexico game. Give it time, Petersen always gets the team humming by mid-season. They won't be the same team in November that they are in September.

As for USU, I'll wait to see how they do against USC. AFA/Weber St. are awful. Too early to draw conclusions for any team, good or bad.
