Does Brian Hill stay or go???

I will be honest, I actually think dino covers the Pokes pretty good. But times like this his ego gets in the way. I don't care if the hills contacted him or not, he needs to just let this die.

He sent me a private message through Twitter asking why I wasn't attacking Brian Hill too? And basically saying we shouldn't treat Brian Hill like a god just because he's Brian Hill. So disappointing.

So, Dino I know you are reading this. I am pretty disappointed. I gave you a chance.

Dino is a fucking genius. He might piss the Hill family off so badly that Brian will stay just to spite him.

But, he won't be dogpiling next year. Cuz he will be in the cheap seats with the rest of us.

Yeah let's attack a kid playing a multi-million dollar sport that he gets paid nothing besides a free education to play. What an asshole. I hope this guy gets banned from UW events. You should ask him if he still thinks the Boston Marathon bombing was a false flag operation.

Hill's still basically a kid, yet showing far more maturity than a supposed media veteran?

Then again, we weren't even supposed to have this past season because of the Apocalypse.

Doesn't expect to announce. I'm sure he's made his mind up already

I don't know if that's true. I hope he's not too impulsive and can wait to find out who else is going first and then rationally make his choice

It's a huge decision and certainly not a no brainer decision. His choice to leave early would be a gamble and every gamble has a plus side and a negative side.

Yeah, I'm NOT thinking Brian will forego an NFL contract to stay if he, momma and an agent tell him to go pro - just to spite "Dino the Dweeb".

The other side of that coin was if Dino still had Wyo media credentials, it might make Hill want to leave.

Not that either of these would be the sole reason for the decision, but they could be a tipping point in either direction.

Well Nick Chubb of Georgia is staying so....I don't know of that opens up something or not but something to think about once we know more.

I don't think this has any impact on Brian and Chubb's concerns are going to be there this year or next. He is choosing to bet on himself and improve his stock.

I'm starting to like our chances that B Hill will stay.

He's in the mix to become one of college football's greatest running backs ever. If he comes back....

1. He'll be in the mix for the Heisman trophy.
2. He'll have a legit shot at being a top 10 college rusher, possibly number one all-time.
3. He can win the conference championship Craig Bohl promised him.
4. He could play in an access bowl.
5. He and his family can give Dino the finger.
6. His rookie contract is almost guaranteed to be SIGNIFICANTLY larger next year than it would be this year.

I've thought he was going to leave all year. I'm now 50/50. I think he might stay.

He's not going to be in contention for the Heisman. Look no further than how far Pumphrey made it this far this season in terms of accolades and I think you see about the ceiling of a RB for a non P5 school.

Whether or not he comes back or not will have everything to do with his personal choice and the feedback he's getting from scouts. Coming back for college accolades is not wise if you can make money now as a RB. I highly doubt he's going to get anymore money next year than we would this year and that's what it's about basically. His contract is in no way guaranteed to be significantly bigger next year as opposed to this year. That's kind of a ridiculous statement. I just don't see where him coming back and running for another 1800 yards is going to do for his NFL stock besides add another season of mileage on his body for no pay. He is what he is, he doesn't need another season of tape to prove that IMO.

I want him back. If he's good enough to be pro, he'll make a team regardless of draft status. It'd be nice to be guaranteed money etc, but there's tons of undrafted players on teams. If he's good enough, someone will find him. Hopefully as a Steelers backup running back to Bell. Also, josh would make a perfect steeler in a few years.

Ew gross. I don't like the Idea of either of them being Steelers, BUT, I didn't want the Lakers to draft Larry either and I find myself cheering for L.A. now. So rest assured, any poke that makes it on any NFL roster will make me happy. Even if it comes in the form of a Steeler. :D

I like your optimism, but let's slow down a bit.

He probably won't be in the Heisman mix. I think we'd have to basically go undefeated for that to happen. And he needs over 2,200 yards to pass Ron Dayne. Sure, if he puts up those numbers he might make the Heisman discussion, but I'm not even considering those possibilities at this point.

Why wouldn't he be? Pumphrey was in the mix this year.

We get Iowa and Oregon early next year. Our oline is going to maul people next year. His performance in those games would put him in the conversation early on, before feasting on a bunch of garbage MWC defenses.

Bohl said his name was in the conversation this season.

2200 yards in a season isn't impossible. He got 1700 this year and our oline is going to be much improved next season.

I agree the odds aren't great for either the Heisman or the all time record, but his name will be in the conversation for both, and that alone will drive up his value, in a year not stocked with one of the deepest classes of running backs in years.

I think he's going to stay.
