Where you get two teams and each team's captain has to pick a person in the class?

This whole PAC-XX, AAC, etc..partitioning (think the Partitions of Poland for those who know their world history) of the MW reminds me of the above scenario and Wyoming is the fat ugly kid that ALWATS gets picked last if at all!!!!!

Wyoming will be the odd kid out when the teams are picked. Thanks to the wonderful forward thinking of our AD....

100% Why can we see it, but the BOT and the Prez can't? Or refuse to?
I’m expecting adds of FCS schools and UTEP and NMSU some statement from the President and BOT side like “The MWC adds teams that strengthens it to move to a level of success it has never seen. Partnering with these institutions will increase both Wyoming’s athletic and academic profile. We couldn’t be any more pleased with the work of the Athletic Director, University Presidents and MWC commissioner and staff that got this done. This is a wonderful day to be a Wyoming Cowboy.”

Bank on it.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit - :poop::poop:🤮🤮(n)(n)

Would you rather they say:
"We got screwed by these teams leaving. So we're inviting several shitty teams to attempt to stabilize the conference so it doesn't implode. The conference will be crap but at least survive."

I understand the annoyance with the puff pieces. But at the same time, it's sort of their job.

Yes. I would rather they tell the truth.

“We were left in a position of weakness by the departing schools. While the University of Wyoming wasn’t presented with any great options, we are actively working to add teams to the MWC to continue its existence. We have invited XXXX and hope these institutions can grow and become successful athletic teams. In the mean time, we will do everything within our power to improve Wyoming’s position in the college athletics landscape and continue to evaluate our options.”

I'd rather:

"For the last 20 years, we've tried to position ourselves in the middle of the MWC with respect to budgets and investments. We've stated publicly that we wanted excellence but knew full well that our fans would be forgiving and modest success would be adequate corresponding to our level of investment of time, effort, and resources. It comes as no surprise that we reached our goals and, as a result, have been left behind by now 7 universities who aspire for- and invest-in excellence. We fully realize there will be more that want to- and will likely leave to join other like-minded universities. However, today we are pleased to announce we found a couple other fbs schools with similar approaches to athletics as well as a few fcs schools desperate enough to jump to fbs that they agreed to our invitation. WYO should be able to compete with the new-look MWC both on the field and in terms of investment until the fcs schools surpass us and leave for greener pastures.
