Spending the day switching channels and watching a bunch of games today, waiting for the Pokes tonight.
I watched a lot of the FAU vs. So. Mississippi game and saw FAU (with their new coach) crush So. Miss. Sure, everyone does seeing as So. Miss. can't stop anyone and with Christensen's old protege', Marcus Arroyo as their OC, they can't score to save their lives. But FAU looked like a more motivated and enthused team then us. Both players and coaches. Montana and Michigan State are looking strong and Oregon is Oregon. I don't see this team winning any OOC games next season. Maybe Hawaii and Air Force stay shit, and we get a couple victories next year in conference. Can this staff right this ship? Are the players that are red shirting going to bring more to the table than the players that are starting ahead of them now? Do our recruits look as if they'll contribute? Do we have many recruits coming in?
Maybe the powers that be believe this will be the scenario regadless of the coaching staff, so they're just going to let it ride and start over in 2015. That would be a shame, as whoever does come in will not have a lot to work with or build on.
I have a six-pack cooking in the fridge and some salted snacks that I'll be enjoying while watching the game tonight. I hope the team proves me wrong and beats Boise State and we salvage the season.
