Anyone know his status? He is listed as ‘out - personal’ with return ‘unknown.’ I don’t recall seeing him in the Air Force game. I am wondering if he may be playing the 4 games and then seeking a redshirt/transfer.

Frankly - Sam Scott is the better option at RB with this offense. But with McNeeley out for season, we don’t have much behind him should he get hurt.

I was thinking he pulled the old “lke” and is sitting out when healthy.

Sad that it took him not being there for coach to play Scott, who is obviously better. Coach Saw seems like a bonehead.

Hard to know exactly what is going on with the program this season. College athletics went from the coaches having all the power, which wasn't good to now the players having all the power. It's like our politics. Can't we get a little common sense and cooperation? No one side is all right or all wrong. Coaches and players should have a more equitable power relationship with incentive to work together.

I presume the situation with DJ Jones will become more apparent with more information in future weeks.

But I have much less respect for someone who would abandon their teammates mid season if that is the case (especially at a short handed position). Who cares if you don’t like a coach or what not…quitting mid season on your teammates shows a lot of character issues. I hope Sluka who quit UNLV and his teammates goes unsigned personally.

DJ couldn't break an arm tackle. I really wanted him to be a better runner. If he's actually out, then we're better off playing a couple of young guys for their 4 games so they don't burn a redshirt.
