Disgraceful humiliating, pathetic, deplorable, disgusting

Most of the people on these boards are pretty die hard, But let's be realistic we had some pathetic attendance last year for a team that we should have sold out every game. People will definitely spend their time elsewhere than watching a team get beat.

Die Hards no we will be here watching and bitching from opening until the fat lady sings but I am afraid we will take an attendance hit on this one.

Okay, that one I agree with in terms of the attendance, as far as those who are claiming not to spend money or won't pay attention, I think those kinds of things are more a visceral reaction to the deplorable situation 24 hours ago.

At least we have one thing to be thankful for.. even with Wyoming's track record of leaving its fans disappointed more often than not, we still get better attendance than Nevada, and they have been winning quite a few football games lately. Wyoming outdrew them yesterday.

Very sad....and pathetic. Nevada is annually one of the most entertaining football teams in college football, yet they still draw horrific attendance figures. Speaks to the fact that there is little hope for Reno in the future. This IS their grand era, and once Chris Ault retires (or dies, guy just doesn't quit) they'll spiral into irrelevance. To levels that might surprise some.

I was chatting w/ one of the UNR bloggers last night on Twitter.. he mentioned that Reno folks like to stretch the summer out as long as possible (like we do here in MIssoula).. so he figured a lot of people were apathetic to having a FCS in town + people being in Tahoe during a nice weekend.

It will be interesting to see how this is explained. An apology by the team would be an appropriate start. The first three games have been fiascos and I don't see how the return of the QB is going to plug all the glaring holes on display.

Our first FCS loss (although, we dodged a few over the last couple of years)! Again, it will be interesting to see how this is explained.

I totally agree, man up and say we weren't ready to play and that you made mistakes, afterall that's what my definition of accountablity is. DC better start listening to his fans or that War Memorial Stadium empty won't help justify his new pay raise etc...then where's he going to be?? Sorry fans, I let you all down and I am going to do my best to get things turned around, that's all I want outta him.
