Dietz to Play for Casper College

It appears that Dietz has signed on with Casper College. I really wish I knew what prompted the kid to decide to turn down D1 basketball in order to play JUCO ball. Is it possible he was homesick even though he was only 2 hours away from home? Did he realize his skills weren't up to snuff compared to his teammates and he wouldn't see much (if any) floor time at UW. This is such a bizarre turn of events as far as I'm concerned. However, his departure opens up a roster spot that I believe we can fill with a much better player than he was.

I couldn't agree more. Again, I think it was an attempt by Heath to get more "State of Wyoming" fans on his side. Then he realized, all he has to do is win, and there is no sense in taking on a Platt or Dietz type to do that. Then again...there was the dipshit McClain & the JC Carrol issue...
