“He’s done an amazing job changing a program that was on life support,” Burman said. “We had a program that had won 10 games two years in a row, didn’t have the off-the-court culture and discipline and accountability that I wanted. He came in and pulled those kids together and gave us hope.”

Ya...5 players being suspended for the season, right before the MW tournament, surely indicates "off-the-court culture and discipline and accountability" issues.

I think his quote should have been more honest though - and not all mumbo-jumbo bullshit politic speak.

Something like this:

"He’s done a decent job changing a program that I had completely decimated with my extremely poor decisions (including costing the university hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost salaries)," Burman said. "I take responsibility for putting together a coaching staff that had won 10 games two years in a row, and I really pissed down my leg when it came to the internal AA renovation and seating re-assignments.” "I think Larry was the bright spot of my entire tenure at the helm as AD for UW, he really saved my ass, especially with last years MW tourney run" Burman quipped.

"Accountability", hahaha. Who hired the guy winning 10 games a season and had the foresight to extend him? Wow! That pretty much sums up our leadership.

I was with you in thinking more of Burman throwing Schroyer under the bus when Burman was directly responsible for that tragic mess.

lol. I didn't think about the weed issue.
