Agreed - Good Post. I didn't see any personal attacks toward DC - just some fact stating and banter. :roll:

Here's what a quick 5 second search came up with. Don't lie and tell me if this was said about you that you wouldn't be upset:

"Cook is awful. We need some guys that want to work hard in the offseason. Haldorson Cooke have shown they don't put in the work like nance Grabau and Adams did"
- Nance is the son of an NBA star and has played his entire life, Cooke has been playing for 3 years...but we point to his work ethic (which none of us know about) as the reason why Nance is better?

"There are 7 year olds who hit more layups than Cooke."
- fact stating and banter? Sounds like an unnecessary insult to me.

I'm sure I can find more, but these aren't facts.

For the most part, people tend to be dickheads and that is too bad.

When we were kicking ass there weren't a lot of negative postings...but then Nance went out and Hankerson got suspended and the prick brigade shows up. It's a common theme on these boards.

Personally, I would like our players to be mentally tough and thick skinned where they don't worry over what some anonymous poster on a sports message board has to say about them and their playing ability. Use what are perceived to be "insults" as motivation to work harder and improve.

Ha, whew, good work! I guess I have selective reading, and don't read what I don't care to read. Personally, I could give a shit (I guess) if somebody called him out on a message board, nor could I give a shit (I guess) if he is upset about it. I do enjoy a good thread and debate though. So search on.

Count me as one of the people that agree with Cooke.

Cooke and Grabua bust their asses for UW, to have a bunch of Wyoming fans criticize them because of weaknesses to their games. It's not like those guys are bench players, they're starters. They're the best guys Shyatt could get to Wyoming so far.

People need to be a bit more considerate when players are working their asses off for UW. If the kid is a head case/problem child, that's always in trouble, that's one thing. When a kid represents UW with class, that's a totally different animal.

That won't stop the army of arm chair quarterbacks that will continue to trash our athletes. Those people will continue to dump their frustrations on the board with negative posts about 18-24 year old men that are working their asses off to represent Wyoming with class.

So as fans, we see them doing more damage than good on the court and were supposed to smile and accept it because they work hard? No one is criticizing their work ethic or how much time they dedicate. Fans criticize because the results don't equal how much (DC specifically) talks about his game. If you have the stones to go on twitter and tell us how dedicated you are and how much you're working you better not have a 50% free throw average. And frankly it's unacceptable for a person who for the majority of the year was in the top 5 in three point percentage to have 24 points in March AND 0 of those in the two post season games. To be upset as fans is absolutely justifiable. If we can't be upset with underperforming than what can we be upset with? Uniforms only I guess...

Where is all this crap about Cooke hyping up his game? I've never seen anything like that. He should be proud of what he's doing. He picked up basketball THE YEAR before Wyoming signed him. It's not like he's been shooting lay-ups and free throws his whole life. He's been doing it for three years.

People suggesting that these players should "go away" need to pull their heads out of their asses, because our team without Cooke and Riley would have lost 10 more games last year and ten more next year.
