Depth Chart released

Yep, and some people think we can beat Wazzu still. Lol.
Not impossible. Wazzu got caught overlooking a bad Nevada team last season. But I do get your point BP....the more I learn, the more I think there are 0 gimmes on the schedule next season.

After looking at that depth chart I am thinking 3 wins at tops.

And I have a feeling Mike Leach's backups will score as much as their starters.
70-0

Meh, there are lots of teams in the MWC just as (or at very minimal nearly as) shitty as us.

This is a good year to have an absolutely atrocious schedule and pathetic MWC.

Even with a surprise team or two in the MWC, we should still be competitive with a lot of teams. That isn't a good thing but it is what it is.

Really, it is similar to high school. Yeah, you'll have your top few teams but after that, there are so many unknowns and parity among a bunch of also rans that it is tough to tell.

Major expectation this year is experience, but I'm hoping that we are competitive with other crappy teams to at least keep the season interesting.

Bet? Wyoming will win more than 3....hell, I'll give you 5 games. And Mike Leach's 3 win team won't score 70 on us. I'll give you 40.

If I win, you take your game to the Oregon State board. Deal?

The bet is a joke...but damn I can't stand all the negative shit on this board.

I agree. Ya can't expect miracles in one year. The previous regime signed a lot of kids who weren't D-I material. The current group had little time to recruit last year. I'm certain the '15 signees will make some impact. Not immediately, but I'm guessin' a few will see playin' time in the Fall. Limited I'm sure, but a little experience here 'n there can go a long way in seein' who wants to play, prepares for the challenge, and who doesn't.

Good to see my cousin on the depth chart! Wyoming kid.

I think the depth chart will change immensely come fall. However for the time being.....it is nice to see a few Wyoming kids gracing the pages.

There are a lot of people on this board who claim to be Wyoming fans, but who would love to see Coach Bohl fail so they could say "see, I told you".

And one reason Fort won't transfer. No one is guaranteed they'll play the same position in college they played in HS. Obviously he's more important to the team as a TE than he was as a QB. I believe he has a REAL chance to contribute.

At the end of the day, every pessimistic poster is in far more in touch with the reality of the Wyoming football program than the optimistic ones, and at the same time, would absolutely love to have the JimmyDimes and Kansas Cowboys of the board say "I told you so" to the pessimistic posters such as myself.

I would rather Wyoming be fighting Boise for New Years 6 Bowl Games and have all the sunshine pumpers tell me how wrong I am about Bohl and winning at Wyoming rather than be right about Wyo football.

Dude, I would even take Wyo fighting for the Potato, NM, Poinsettia, and new Tuscon Bowl rather than be right about where I think Wyoming football is. I would gladly take it.

No kidding. I hope when Bohl exceeds your expectations all you haters eat a plate full of poop-flavored crow.

I bet Austin Fort Transfers. Any takers? ;-)
Why would he transfer?

He wants to play QB, not TE. I think he will look for a place that he can compete for a QB spot. I realize that nobody is guaranteed a spot but he has lost the chance to even compete for one in Wyoming. He is outta here. Just my opinion, and "locker room talk" ( Potato will love that one)

If he's so opposed to the move, why not just quit/transfer already? Why make a position change for spring ball just so that he can transfer over the summer and move back to QB? Makes no sense.

The ironic thing is that Beav used to be the biggest sunshine pumper on here.
He did...and unfortunately ended up being very wrong about certain teams like several people here have been. Sure, optimism and pessimism show as they are, you know them when you see them. That doesn't mean those being "pessimistic" are wrong. The negative fans have been dead on with Wyoming football for three consecutive seasons now. Or as BP said, at the very least much closer than the sunshine pumpers have been to projecting these teams.

Wyoming football in the new MW will always be tough to predict. In 2011, Wyoming won 8 games, but 6/7 of them were by very close margins that could have gone the other way. The following year, Wyoming won only 4 games, but played at least four others that could have gone the other way. That's UW football in a nutshell, a football's roll away from being decent or terrible.

The sunshine pumpers will say that the 2014 Cowboys were a few breaks away from going 6-6. The negative nancy's will say UW was a few very fortunate bounces (looking at you, FAU) from being 2-10 or even 1-11.

So really, none of us are "wrong". We're all essentially right in principle...but some of us are more cautious, others would rather see the glass half full.

I'm cautiously predicting 4-5 wins, but placed with a warning label that says "A few bad injuries away from being really, really bad"
