After another abysmal showing by the offense, it should be very clear that we need to make some changes quick, fast, and in a hurry. The very first that comes to mind:
Trey Woods earns the No. 1 slot at running back. He's very green but seems to have the physicality we're looking for with his size, strength, and ability to gain yards after contact. Looks to have good upside so with more reps and development I think he becomes the productive back we're in dire need of. Kellen Overstreet at No. 2 and Milo Hall at 3. Anything is better than the 2 YPC we're getting with Hall!!!
Some adjustments need to occur with the receiving corps as well. I'd say at this point CJ Johnson takes a back-seat to John Okwoli. He has failed to snag in catchable balls on multiple occasions and quite frankly just looks confused out there more often than not. I'm also not seeing anything close to the chemistry JA had with Gentry and an ability to improvise when a play breaks down. I hope some of our passing woes will be alleviated when James Price is able to play.
Not much to be hopeful for at this point but I think that's a start. Curious to see what you all think/any adjustments you think would help our offense out.
