I sat with Terry this past Saturday night in the press box at the Broncos game...he told me that many people feel that as good as Brett is, that his brother is going to be even better...for whatever it's worth.

Enjoy the read.

We've got an offer out to Cade. It would be pretty huge if we could get him to wear brown and gold, too. He's being recruited pretty heavily by the PAC teams.

I can tell you right now, that if the Ducks offer Cade, he is headed to Eugene. Everyone in the family except for Brett went to UO. The dad played at Oregon, and Cade is a huge Ducks fan.
Pokes might win the recruiting battle if UO doesn't offer him. I don't really see him ending up with the Beavers, because of the difference in offensive systems they run, but Wyo could be in the mix if the Ducks do not offer.
Maybe Brett can convince Cade to come to Laramie with a big season this year, then knocking the Ducks off in Eugene next year.

I just hope the weekend Wyo plays the Ducks, isn't the weekend UO has Cade on campus to visit the program...

That Cade is a better prospect than Brett has been pretty much discussed for more than a year know. That's why he was offered last year.

Terry did a nice job with this story...if Brett's brother attends UW it will obviously fire up the faithful even more -- but even if he does not, I like the future going forward after Brett with Jason Thompson who I believe can be a player for us, and of course the successful recruitment of Austin Fort out of Gillette bodes well for the position.

Speaking of Fort, I look forward to catching one of his games this season, for those who have seen him in action, your thoughts about him would be welcomed with what you saw.

So far as the game coming up this weekend, call me crazy (I do all the time), but I believe that if the Pokes can get 2-3 critical stops on defense and if we can force a turnover or two, with this offense, I think this can be a competitive game heading into the final quarter.

I'm hoping for better production on defense this season...while dreading the worst.

Go Pokes!
