There's not much (but a little) use in comparing 2013 defensive numbers with 2014 based on the caboose of Christensen's party train of Defensive Coordinators in Tormey and Pol Pot personified in Steve "Sir Topham Hat" Stanard's first year. But here are the rankings:

Total Defense - 111
Rush Defense - 108
Scoring Defense - 109
Red Zone Defense - 29
Pass Yards Allowed - 104
Team Pass Efficiency Defense - 113
3rd Down Conversion Defense - 83
4th Down Conversion Defense - 114
1st Downs Defense - 106
Time of Possession - 123 (dead last)
2014
Total Defense - 89
Rush Defense - 101
Scoring Defense - 100
Red Zone Defense - 58
Pass Yards Allowed - 61
Team Pass Efficiency Defense - 120

The difference in TOP is stark. And room for improvement is immense. But based on main indicators of Rush D, Scoring D, 3rd Down D and Red Zone D hopefully the future is brighter? Because not much improvement (as is to be expected from Stanard's first year) is shown.
Based on Stanard's prior performance in numerous stops over the years, I wonder how many years Bohl will remain hitched to him?
