Okay, so after seeing how they score for the "O" and "D", I'm finally understanding, that our "O" isn't that bad. The way you score in these scrimmages is meant to build the "O" up. Let's face it, the "D" scores on basically every play. The "O" get's points for td's, fg's, pat's, two point convers. 1 point for a play exceeding 20 yards and 1 point for a first down.
The points are stacked for the "D". "12!" points for an int or fumb rec for td, 5 points for int or fumb recovery, 3 points for forcing a punt, blocking a fg, stopping the "O" on 4th down on "O" side of field. 2 points for safety, QB sack (just touch the QB), stopping the "O" on opposing side of 50 on 4th down or stopping a s point convers. 1 point for forcing a missed fg (or if it's just missed by the kicker), tackle for loss, blocking pat, holding "O to a fg when possession in the red zone. "STACKED! Basically if your on defense and you breath you get a point. The "O" has to strive to catch up and to basically have a shoot out with the defense by creating amazing long gains or getting td's. Seeing that we scored 33 and 36 points in our scrimmages isn't really bringing a panic to me. Do I see room for improvement? Definitely. But, how we're playing now is looking WAY better than last year. Look for an improved "O".
