Yeah we got owned. Yeah this sucks. But I ask what's changed. The schedule is doing us no favors and what did we expect with us going into battle with out two of our top three offensive weapons? The kids fought til the end and I'm not embarrassed at all. It's get better

You have to admire the sunshine pumpers and there spin of reality.

Our offense made CSU defense look like the Broncos. I didn't see any silver lining today. None.

Priester was getting picked on all day. Had fifty yards of penalties himself. No discipline in all aspects all game.

We had these same "weapons" most of the year...and still lost...

I didn't see them fighting till the end. They acted like it was a scrimage. There was no fire, no intensity. They looked flat.

Couldn't disagree more! This is probably the easiest schedule to bowl eligibility as there is in big boy football. #1&11

No question about it. If you lose to North Dakota and Eastern Michigan alone, you're terrible. Prior to this week, Eastern Michigan gave up more than 40 points in six straight losses (an average of 53.3 PPG). But that team was very nearly beating us 42-7 at halftime in Week 2. Bleak doesn't begin to describe the picture.

Correct to question what has changed. We knew from the 1st quarter of the 1st game that this team lacked strength, size, speed, and grit and was devoid of talent in several key areas. With the gift of hindsight it is now apparent that it was silly of me to believe the team had the potential to markedly improve. Not a heat of the moment comment, I just believe it is nearly impossible to improve on those areas over the course of a season.....you fight with what you have.

What I do worry about is potential going forward......I realize the team is young but I would feel a lot better about our situation if they were at least competitive within a very weak slate of teams. Yes, we have a couple of good players (we always do)....but not sure getting absolutely dominated by nearly all opponents suggests a potential to be great. Guess we will all find out and next year should be pretty telling in terms of the program's true trajectory.

I think that's the problem. Nothing has changed. This team is no better now than at the beginning of the season.

Sitting in the north stands, I wonder what those folks paying all that money to sit in the wildcatter suites are thinking when the game is over half way through the second quarter. Because at some point, the big boosters are going to get restless. I wonder what happens when we have a 2 or 3 win season next year?

I can tell what the average fan is thinking. Worst crowd I've ever seen for a good weather border war. I saw people leaving in the second qtr. It was practically a stampede out the exits at half time. Frankly, I was one of them. I'm tired of driving up from Fort Collins to watch 1/2 of a terrible game and then listen to Dave and Kevin chit chat with a 10 year old during the 2nd half of the game. Anyone who thought that was a good idea has shit between the ears.

 One of the stranger elements of this long run of mediocrity for Wyoming football is listening to Dave and Kevin try to paint sunshine and rainbows after any of the dozens of dismal games. I mean, they said Wyoming "played a heck of a tough game" after getting pasted by Eastern Michigan. That was the single worst D-1 game I've ever seen played. It's just mind-numbing stuff sometimes, but the comedic aspect is definitely there.

Being out "physicalled" is to be expected. Hell, even the announcers brought up the point after every play made by the Pokes that it was either a RS Frosh or True Frosh making the play. These are 18-19 yr old kids that haven't had the time to develop the football bodies to go with the talent that I believe they have. The injuries alone today are proof of that. I expect we will see a bigger, faster team next year when these kids that have been getting the crap beat out of them grow into their frames.

I actually like ol' Dave, but watching him on Inside Wyoming Football is comical as well. This past week they didn't even have the USU punt block on the ""highlights." They had most of USU's scores, other than that one. I just wish he would ask some legit questions...especially on that punt formation. They should have had some explanation on that cluster mess.

After we lost to UND and EMU I knew the season was going to be a loss, but it was time to look at the season from a purely analytical standpoint. Yesterday we looked worse than we have all season. I figured with three games left we would've made some progress and maybe even pulled out a win, as CSU is not a good team. Not having Coffman shouldn't be an excuse, we still managed to move the ball and score against a much better USU defense. I don't know. We didn't show any signs of life against our biggest rival, and that really hurts.

Oh, Dave is a great guy. He's a really kind person. He clearly bleeds brown and gold. But the lack of critical insight is downright hysterical sometimes. I mean, Nick Smith's performance against Eastern Michigan was truly one of the most hilarious spectacles I've ever seen in D-1 football and Dave and Kev still referred to it as a "player who hung tough out there."

And, to the poster above, I'd argue the first quarter of yesterday was probably the second-worst performance...but Eastern Michigan was beyond unfathomable. That team is SO bad, and they were nearly beating us by 5 touchdowns at halftime. I've never seen a worse exhibition of Division I football. Even Eastern Michigan was atrocious (the tackling in the second half was laughable), but Wyoming somehow managed to make them look like a Top 25 team.
