Decommits

In case I missed this it sounds like we have 2 decommits. One to Oregon State and the other to Washington State.

Logan Knapp OSU
Jovan Clark WSU
 
Expected given the coaching situation in Laramie. Can't blame them - I wouldn't want to play for that coaching staff either. It's difficult to imagine any player with other options in FBS would choose to keep their commitment to UW unless they have some strong connection to the university. Just another reason that Sawvel needs fired. A coach hired in December could probably bring a better recruiting class than whatever Sawvel would be able to put together.

Jovan Clark looked like a good one. Had offers from several P4 schools.

I can presume assistants had a lot to do with recruiting these guys.

I wonder how demoralized position coaches feel with this happening, like Jovon Bouknight? Do they leave for better programs?
 
Our exodus will be this year and we lose the promise for our future. Glad we kept this staff to keep the band together to go 1-11 or 2-10. Next year we may not win a game. The only occupants in the new loge boxes will be mice and crickets.

For the low low price of $2500 per. Ridiculous. Especially to watch this shit. Those "seats" are not for fans, they are a cash grab, for corporate dollars, and UW could care less if they are ever used - as long as they are paid for. Pisses me off.

The assistant coaches would be smart to get out as soon as they possibly can. If they don't, they are bound to go down with the sinking ship that is Jay Sawvel.

I don't mean to berate the guy repeatedly, but Jay Sawvel is the worst head coach I have ever seen at Wyoming, and that statement includes Koenning. He has awful body language, is a poor public speaker, inspires absolutely zero confidence, and is incapable of motivating his players. That Wyoming football team is completely lost right now - there is no leadership and no direction. I can handle losing, but I find it unbearable to watch this rudderless team fail so spectacularly over and over again. I don't see myself watching another Wyoming football game, in person or on TV, until Sawvel is gone. I literally can't stomach it.
 
Clark going elsewhere was the least surprising decommit ever. He likely gone even if we had a good season. I'll be surprised if he ends up at WSU.
 
Two identified decommits. Any idea on the number of players from the start of the season no longer with the team? I haven't been keeping count, but it seems to be growing as well and not from a season ending injury.

I believe 2 walked since the opening game...QB Jayden Clemmons, and eh, RB DJ Jones for some ?? reason.

From what I understand, the players seem to like him. I wonder why? He doesn’t look like a very likable guy on the sidelines.
 
Easy come easy go, either our teams in the future will gel and get the right pieces from the portal or lose good players cuz of horrible execution of playing our style of college football
