DC coaching tree

Kind of weird, but two of Christensen's position coaches while in Laramie are coordinators in the PAC 12. Alex Grinch at WSU, and Jim Harding at Utah. I always thought he had poor assistants. And Marcus Arroyo was an offensive coord in the NFl ( how the fuck did that happen?).

Note: Wish we could have kept Josh Doctson.

Arroyo was an OC for like one game, and Tampa Bay was absolutely destroyed.

It is amazing arroyo ever found his way to the nfl ( or to another coaching job) after his years at uw.

It was hard to determine of the asst. coaches were any good, seeing as DC ran things as a tyrant. I thought most of them were useless, but apparently the only confirmed useless one was Arroyo. After he left Wyoming he went back to Cal, didn't do well and ended up at So. Miss as the OC, where they ended near the bottom in FBS offensively. I think they were dead last until the last week. Then he went to Tampa, where he had to be the OC for the season, as the real OC fell ill or some such thing. We all know what happened there. Now he's a running back coach at OK State and DC is the O line coach at Tex A&M. Maybe they found their level that they can handle. I am amazed that these useless twats still get any coaching job. What a life it is on the coaching carousel. You needn't perform, but there's always someone that will hire you to be one of the dozen or so asst. coaches in their program.

Let me help you all with this:

Jim Harding--OC at Utah
Alex Grinch--DC at Washington State
Derek Sage--Receivers at Toledo
Marcus Arroyo--Running Backs at Oklahoma State
Dan Hammerschmidt--Safeties at Oklahoma State
Jerry Montgomery--Green Bay Packers
Renaldo Hill--Cornerbacks at Pitt
Jamar Cain--Defensive Ends at North Dakota State
Jason Ray--Wide Receivers Northern Iowa
Nick Danielson--Tight Ends/Tackles at Northern Iowa
Chris Tormey--Canadien Football League
Robin Ross--Canadien Football League
Gregg Brandon--Head Coach Colorado School of Mines
Trent Greener--Military Special Ops in Washington DC (works with the elite of the elite)

I may have missed some. This doesn't even mention the graduate assistants, video, and academic support people.

Jim Harding--OC at Utah (fell into the position - decent guy, but weaknesses hidden by Witt & Dennis)
Alex Grinch--DC at Washington State (fell into the position as well - but has potential)
Derek Sage--Receivers at Toledo (lame duck coach)
Marcus Arroyo--Running Backs at Oklahoma State (very lame duck coach - a coaching whore if you will)
Dan Hammerschmidt--Safeties at Oklahoma State (CSewe retread - like a crash on I-80, move along)
Jerry Montgomery--Green Bay Packers (the best of the bunch, hands down)
Renaldo Hill--Cornerbacks at Pitt (uh, ya...hahahaha)
Jamar Cain--Defensive Ends at North Dakota State (meh, seriously, meh)
Jason Ray--Wide Receivers Northern Iowa (potential here, fell in DC's lap though)
Nick Danielson--Tight Ends/Tackles at Northern Iowa (see Cain - above)
Chris Tormey--Canadien Football League (HAHAHAHAHAH - worst GD coach ever. Oh, wait, we have Stannard now)
Robin Ross--Canadien Football League (Sorry, 25 years coaching and still trying - there is a reason for the CFL)
Gregg Brandon--Head Coach Colorado School of Mines (Got raw deal from DC, good offensive mind)
Trent Greener--Military Special Ops in Washington DC (To say he wasn't good as a S&C coach was an understatement)

I may have missed some. This doesn't even mention the graduate assistants, video, and academic support people.

This post has so much deliciousness I can't stand it. Corrected above to reflect accuracy.

And now...first off Suz, shame on your husband for leaving the cupboard so damn empty. Second, it is water under the bridge, but I sure didn't appreciate (as a fan of UW) the badmouthing your family gave the fanbase on your way out to SLC. Your angst and anger should have been directed at the administration, as they are who failed you, not the fanbase. Third, I am wondering why you left Marty English off your list...was it because your hubby used him as a scapegoat and demoted him? The best defense any of your tenure had, was the first two years under English's direction. Shame on that whole ordeal, but that is your bailiwick to deal with!

TTT

Some of you must have missed who our new 1st time poster is!

Welcome to the board, and thanks for the info!

I must admit, if this is legit, it brings up a myriad of questions...with the first being 1) How did you know DC's name would come up on a random post on 9/27/15? A board stalker?

This has to be a fake handle. CSU fan trolling us.

Whether this is DC's wife or not doesn't change the fact that DC and their entire family are loving the Bohl hire. In comes the Messiah and this bullshit Cowboy Tough mantra and a bunch of talk about how Bohl is going to be better than Christensen, yet is sitting at 4-12 as a D1 coach.

Wyo looks like complete shit, and people wanted to blame DC, who at this point is the best Wyo coach in this century, yet DC leaves and Wyo is a complete dumpster fire.

The problem was never DC, it was the small-time thinking of the higher-ups at Wyo and the athletic department.

As a Wyo fan, I am thankful that DC even got us to 2 bowls.
Will be a LONG time until we get to two more bowls.

And where's Christensen sitting right now? He's gone from head coach to offensive coordinator to offensive line coach in less than two years. Not exactly going the right direction himself. Maybe he should worry about that first...

I'm sure he is happy with his new job being in the SEC, and coaching on a Top 15 team.

And if he was any good as a coach, he'd have a higher-profile and probably higher-paying job for a Top 10 team.

He is still a line coach.....can't be very happy about that. And I'm pretty sure his head coaching gig paid a hell of a lot more. But hey, let's sit here and praise DC and throw shit at Bohl.

Hey let's praise a guy who won us a bowl game and throw shit at a guy who is leading us to a winless season.
Oh wait that's what you just said.

Beav, you may not like Bohl, and that is your prerogative. But don't take your dislike for him and start throwing around insinuations such as DC being a good coach. He was not a good head coach. Besides being a cocky @$$hole (which I don't necessarily have a problem with, if you win), he wasn't very good at adjustments or gameplans. His recruiting had a few bright spots, but that was on O, not D.

So again, if you don't like Bohl, fine, but don't pretend DC was ever going to get us where you want us to be (consistent bowl games, challenging for a conference title, etc.).
