Anyone have the low down on that whole situation? Did Shyatt not want him?WYCowboy said:DVDA said:I really wish Robert Heyer was playing at Wyoming.
It's his loss more than it is our's.
Like playing for Boise?WYCowboy said:seattlecowboy said:That was a road game for Boise if I have ever seen one. Boise had chances to win it though.
I thought Marks made some very bad decisions down the stretch.
He played like a freshman overwhelmed by the situation, NOT like the MWC POY. He certainly didn't play on fire like AdamsWyo2dal said:WYCowboy said:seattlecowboy said:That was a road game for Boise if I have ever seen one. Boise had chances to win it though.

Dribbling into the corner on a double team was one of them but he got screwed at the end of the game.

Yeah I got that too. Your point about Shyatt makes a lot of senseNowherePoke said:ItSucksToBeACSURam said:Anyone have the low down on that whole situation? Did Shyatt not want him?WYCowboy said:DVDA said:I really wish Robert Heyer was playing at Wyoming.

On the telecast tonight they discussed how he ended up in Boise and added one piece of information that I didn't know before. Obviously we all knew he was a walk-on that has transferred from D2 UT-Permian Basin after playing at Sheridan, but they mentioned that the reason he ended up walking on at BSU is that his mother had moved to Boise and as a result he decided to contact BSU and see about walking on.
If that is all true, I don't think Shyatt would have even known Heyer was out there looking to walk-on at a D1 school and Heyer might have specifically wanted to be in Boise.

J-Rod said:Boise did not get screwed late in the game. Rice screwed up by letting Marks drain the play clock and take a terrible show over and over instead of going to the basket.
Boise did however get screwed by the NCAA. Dayton had clear home court advantage that effected the game. Rough way to go out, but Boise State has a bright future in basketball.
And that's a big problem. A certain NFL QB down in Denver did the same thing, had a bad injury, told no one, and crapped the bed.J-Rod said:Boise media found out tonight that Marks has been playing with a torn meniscus the last 4 games. That would explain his result slump.
Thats bad coaching. If Rice knew, and still played him, he put his team at a disadvantage. That Alford kid was far superior to Marks last nightfromolwyoming said:And that's a big problem.
