Dayton play-in games

North Florida-Robert Morris on right now.....first MW team up the plate at 7 p.m. MT. Here's to Wyoming, SDSU, and Boise doing well and showing the college basketball world that the MW should be a 4-5 bid league.

That said, I don't think Boise wins. Playing on the road is unjust, and will ultimately do in the Marks era.

We really should have been this year, but SJSU's sanctions and generally suckiness killed us, Nevada being uncharacteristically bad hurt, and basically everyone outside of Wyo, CSU and SDSU played a lot worse ooc than they did in-conference (especially Ut. St.).

Basically, it was the perfect storm for MWC suckiness and we still got three teams. I don't see the MWC as presently comprised ever getting less than three teams.

I don't really get what all the fuss is about playing AT Dayton. I get it, it's their home court, but these games are ALWAYS in Dayton, the committee shouldn't rate Dayton higher just because it would mean them playing on their home court. Why "gift" them the benefit of not being in the Bottom 4 just because they host.

....because now Boise has to be 1 of 68 teams who plays a road game in the big dance. There are 13K Flyer fans expected at this game. How would you feel if Wyoming played @Northern Iowa?

I agree it will be tough playing basically a road game for Boise St. but they did win at Viejas this year and Dayton doesn't have the things that cause Boise St. problems which is dominate big men down low. I think Boise has a great shot to win this game. Dayton plays a pack line defense which isn't going to help Dayton because Boise hits the 3 ball so well. If anything it helps Boise that they play that style of defense.

Dayton is very tough at home though. Think it will be a close game. Boise has more depth and Dayton doesn't like to foul since they only have 7 players.

If the first round had been placed in Cedar Rapids back in 2008, and then through the seeding of the teams 4 days ago it turned out it was UW-NIU, then I wouldn't be that perturbed. It's not like the committee could have put them elsewhere. I'm sure Boise would rather play at Dayton than at home in the NIT.

Srsly....could anyone imagine a shyatt led team allowing a player to get even kinda overweight

Duncan Doughnuts looks so out of place

Boise looks like shit. Marks must have stayed in Boise and doughboy looks tired. Must have been up early making the donuts. Better pull their heads out or its one and done

Marks still cold as ice. Pre-2015 Marks has been around since the beginning of the MW Tournament.

Boise probably wins that game by 10 points on a neutral court.

I felt like they were calling it close and very tight not letting them play at all until the 5 min mark and then they just let them play street ball and turned a blind eye.

Meh, the last call was 50/50. D jumped towards him, but offense initiated the contact. What I'm more disgusted by is Marks play in the last 2 minutes...he SUCKED. Dribble into the corner with 5 seconds left?!?! WTF are you thinking? Lucky he got bailed out, and then he goes and gets greedy and tries to draw the foul and fails. Dish it off and at least try to get a shot.

Edit: watching the replays a few more times, I completely agree with the no call. If Marks doesn't lean in there would have been no contact. If they had called the foul it would have been far worse than not calling anything.

That was a road game for Boise if I have ever seen one. Boise had chances to win it though.

I thought Marks made some very bad decisions down the stretch.

Dribbling into the corner on a double team was one of them but he got screwed at the end of the game.
