Lots of truth..

The sad thing is that no one in a position of to do so is willing to fire Heath and at least attempt to halt/slow the current decline. I have yet to hear a valid reason -- other than Heath is a buddy of Tom's -- why nothing is being done.

Note to Tom Burman:
The longer you wait to pull the trigger the more your culpability in the decline of the program will grow. It's one thing to make a bad hire, but totally another to not accept that fact and let the program continue to reach unprecedented levels of ineptitude without trying to do something about it.

Its a real mess now. Not only is the team terrible, but the schedule is totally uninteresting, and the fan attendance is just collapsing. Not only is this the worst attendance I've seen, its the worst by FAR. The ONLY reason I can see for not firing Schroyer right now is how it would affect a buyout. Maybe Burman is just thinking he 'll wait to the end of the year and so thats just one less year to have to buy out. But the downside to that is the team just limps along and attendance further drops which results in more lost revenue. So its really a catch-22, snowball effect type of thing. If I thought there was any chance the team was improving i would say stay the course to the end of the season. But honestly, game after game, season after season its just more of the same.

I don't remember, but isn't there a buy out on Steve McClain still? I know he was fired before his contract was up. If that is the case, maybe Burman is trying to wait to finish paying off McClain so he 's not paying two old coaches and a new one. Cause that could be a lot of money to have two buy outs and a new coach.
Possibility?
