I have been following and watching golf for a few years now, and have always payed close attention to the one and only University of Wyoming golfer on the PGA Tour, David Hearn.
He seems to have a solid game, doesn't hit it that far but is solid around the greens and with his anchoring putter (due for banning in 2016). All that being said he seems to never put 4 solid rounds together. For instance last week he was -6 and tied for second after round one and then followed that up with a 78 on friday and missed the cut. Just today after a solid round of 71 on thursday he was catching fire making the turn and was finding himself near the top of the leader board. I was watching and then all of a sudden he doubles a not so difficult par 4 and then bogeys a very easy par 5 and falls back to the middle of the pack.
Im just wondering if anyone else pays close attention to Hearn and if they have seen the same things I have seen over the years.
Lack of a clutch gene?
