This man needs his own appreciation thread. He is unlike any back I've seen at Wyoming. The speed, quickness, shiftiness are elite. Got a little power too. I didn't know if he possessed the size and durability to be a feature back, but he is proving me dead wrong. Amazing. He really saved our butts last night

Season stats:
34 attempts 322 yards 9.5ypc

A secondary kudos to the offensive line! They are making it all possible.

I stated in another post that DQ should see the ball as much as Swen. IMO, I wasn’t wrong even though I was told as much.

He is something…….

14 carries 179 yds last night. Right around where I said he needs to be. 10 carries for 120 last week. You're still wrong. If you give DQ the ball the 23-28 times, you're going to kill him. This is a perfect role for him as evident by his production last two games. His legs are fresh. It's perfect. At some point you'll get diminishing returns. He was targeted once for a pass. They should try to get it to him 2-3 times in passing game.

I understand Swen was hurt, he had more touches that Swen last night. Lol

Man, he is FUN to watch. Exciting player. Feels like he has a chance to break one every time he touches the ball. I'll bet he keeps defensive coordinators awake at night, lol.

Isn't there is a Dairy Queen on North 3rd? They should do a promo .... like free sundays if DQ has a run over 55 yds or something.

Dude is stupid fast. He was past the linebackers before anyone knew he had the ball in that long run against Hawaii.

10.8 second 100 meter time in high school. He would probably be faster than anyone on Wyoming’s track team.

His best attribute is quickness. It looks like he is able to accelerate instantly out of his stance and cuts.

Has anyone heard what happened to Swen. Watching the game I did not see where, when or how he got hurt?

Concussion protocol if I read/heard correctly Think I read it on 7220sports.com.

Hopefully he is ready to go against CSU. While DQ is exciting and fun to watch, a one two three punch with Swen, DQ and McNelly could be awesome.

Pure excitement every time he touches the football. I agree with someone who said you need to be careful with the amount of touches he gets each game due to his size, but I also think he's a solidly built back who can take on hits from defenders better than a lot of players in his size range. His initial burst is unreal. I'd love to see him lined up outside or even in the slot on some plays and getting him the ball with some open space because he's not only a lightning bolt with his speed, but he also makes guys miss with his moves. I think his role on the team expands as this season moves along.

Look up Barry Sanders height/weight and report back.

I agree that he could get a few more touches in the pass game.

I think with a healthy Swen, it should be a 2:1 type split. We essentially run 40 times a game. 5 of those on average are probably QB. That's 35 touches for RBs. That'd be 23 for Swen and 12 for DQ (i said 12-14 is a good number to keep those legs fresh but 15 or 16 would be ok if he's feeling it that night). McNeely needs put in there too because he even runs different than the other 2. There's even a term for this scenario. Swen is our every down back and DQ is the changeup. It's worked really well so far. Most of us wanted this from the beginning but I think someone said DQ was injured. Where he can get more touches in in the passing game. Flare it out to him real quick and see what he can do. Give him a couple screens per game. Get him out there in space where he can make one guy miss and take it for a big gainer.
