currently six for six on field goals. He got a chance to play today because Moejeke is out. Clearly Heath sucks at deciding who his best players are and giving them a chance to play. Harrison probably could have used some additional playing time the whole out of conference schedule and we would have been better off (Kind of reminds me of Desmar not seeing the court last year until a ton of injuries and defections).

Just another reason why Heath was a mistake as a coach, I am sure I don't need to add more fuel to that fire but I couldn't help myself.

Adam really makes a difference when he is in the game and healthy. He'll get better with more playing time during the conference play - if he stays healthy.

Where the F was this kid when we needed him the first half of this season???? Heath needs to learn to play his top athletes!

I am still mad that he let Jaydee play over Jackson for half of the season last year. Luster should be a back up and getting limited minutes. He can't make free throws and he was in foul trouble the entire game. He can't provide anything offensively or on defense without committing a foul.

Some thoughts:

Daylen Harrison - Daylen played a great game yesterday. No doubt about it. However, I wouldn't expect Daylen to be a key contributor offensively game in and game out. His skill set just doesn't lend itself to being a scorer. I think Daylen would be the perfect 6th man on this team. He plays smart, heady basketball and always puts himself into excellent positions on the floor. It's easy to see that he really understands the game of basketball. That being said, I personally don't think he should be a starter.

Jaydee Luster - I understand some of the criticism of Jaydee, but I'm a little bit confused about some of the harsh words that have been said about him. Yes, Jaydee's lack of height has really hampered him on both the offensive and defensive ends, but there is one thing I really like about Jaydee...he always gives maximum effort. I've never once seen him become lackadaisical on the floor no matter how poorly he or the team was playing. That's more than I can say for most of the players on the team. Jaydee may not be a great PG, but I think he does deserve credit where it is due.

As far as Heath's ability to judge talent...I'm going to reserve judgement on that since I don't have much inside info about the basketball team. I think we can all agree that Desmar is a very impressive player, but one thing coaches always have better insight about is their player's attitudes. I want to make it clear that I have no idea whether Desmar's attitude had anything to do with him seeing limited minutes at the beginning of last season. However, I do know that his attitude was one of the big knocks on him coming out of high school. As a junior, many people in Ohio were mentioning Desmar in the same breath as Jared Sullinger (top 5 national recruit). There were some big time programs sniffing around Desmar at that time. As a senior, Desmar seemed to quit if the game wasn't going the way he liked. Unfortunately for him, he did that in some big-time tournaments and the recruiters took notice. Believe me, Desmar wouldn't be a Wyoming Cowboy if it wasn't for those "lack of effort" performances as a senior. Just some thoughts to consider.

I don't think anyone is saying Jaydee isn't playing hard, he just isn't a good player at the d1 level.
