CU Drilled Auburn

It seemed that the Buffs ran away from a tired and winded Auburn squad in the last 10 minutes of the game. 90-59 was the final score, including a 24-0 run in the second half.

The Pokes cannot have the lapses that they had on defense this past Sunday...and I think will likely slow tempo the game a bit and lock down on defense, which has certainly worked in the past when we have played CU.

I look forward to a great game and rockin' AA on Saturday.

The game was close at half. Auburn showed why they are a football-only school in the 2nd half. Five straight seasons of losing records down there. Maybe Pearl can get the situation turned around.

Pokes will be a much stiffer test for a pretty good CU squad. AA needs to be rocking.

This is a really good CU team.

Hoops on the Front Range will be very good this year. WYO/CSU both have legitimate (IMO) NCAA aspirations and CU is playing for a deep tourney run. I also think DU will be good (preseason 2nd place pick in the Summit) and UNC will be a Top 3 Big Sky team (again IMO).

Even on the D2 side, Metro is a Top 10/15 type D2 team and UCCS is probably a Top 25 type team (Derrick White is a guy that could help a lot of MWC teams, including the Pokes).

I saw some of the game and think it was mentioned that Auburn was without a couple players. Still a good win for CU.

I watched the first half. Must've missed that comment. Auburn obviously doesn't have the depth at this point.

Pokes will have to play well Saturday. Let's get it.

They were down their best player who scored 19 in their first game and another guy was hobbled and didn't play as much. The lack of depth did hurt Auburn, but again CU is no slouch. It will take a solid effort on Saturday.

Go Pokes!!
