CU-CSU

Battle of the two worst teams in the front range.
CU went up 10-0 in the first.
Both teams score 10 in the 2nd, making it 20-10 at half.
Then CU just punted and CSU ran it back for a TD.
12 or so minutes left in the 3rd, fluffs beating the sheep 20-17.
It looks like CSU's offense is awful, and CU is slightly better (with a decent pass game).
Really hope CU wins.

You understand a loss to CU impacts the SOS of the entire MWC Mountain Division.

You realize I hate CSU and in a hypothetical scenario where Wyoming was 11-0 and CSU was 0-11 and after we beat them to go undefeated, we dropped from 2nd in the BCS to 3rd because the strength of schedule, and that kept us out of the National Title game, I wouldn't have cared that CSU couldn't even win 1 game to help us out. In fact I would love nothing more than CSU not winning a game all season.

Since CSU ran that punt back for a TD to make it 17-20, CU got a FG making their lead 23-17.
Later, CU punted, and CSU almost ran another punt back for a TD, putting them at the CU 16. CSU scored 3 plays later going ahead 24-23.
In the 4th, CU kicked another FG to go ahead 26-24.
CSU had the ball, completed a pass, then fumbled it, CU ran it back for a TD making the lead 33-24 fluffs.
CSU scored a FG with a couple minutes left in the game making it 33-27, getting themselves back in the game.
But then the first play of the following drive CU threw a 75 yard TD then got the 2 point conversion, making it 41-27.
Hell yes, the sheep are going to lose.
Plus the CU qb has 400 yards, and 3 TDs, and well let me put it this way, he aint no Brett Smith.

So Wyo loses by 3 in @ #18 Nebraska, and CSU is going to lose by a couple scores on a neutral field to CU, the whipping team of the Pac12.

This is going to be an awesome season people!

Yes!
CU had to punt, CSU fumbled it, and CU recovered lol.
CU wins 41-27.

CSU sucks.
So does the MWC.

3-9 in week 1, with 2 of those wins coming against FCS teams.

Except for Nevada, we're the only other team to lose to a ranked FBS team in the conference. Unlike Nevada, we actually put up a helluva fight.

So CSU losing is more important to you than Wyoming winning?

Wyoming winning is more important, but whether CSU beats CU or not has no implications on Wyoming winning.
No matter what you say, I am never going to cheer for CSU. Not going to happen. Don't even try.

Yous said it yourself, even if CSU losing meant Wyoming couldn't win a National Championship, you're happier with CSU losing.

Dude, let it go. I am not cheering for CSU.
Fuck the sheep.

And really, does my cheering for a team I HATE, have any effect on the game?

No, but it belies your short horizon and "good enough" mentality.

In OOC play, we should be pulling for everyone in the MWC. We want them to have the best possible record when we play them, we want their best possible game to see what we're really made of.

Or we can just cheer for everyone in the MWC but csu and hope they lose every time

I never ever root for CSU or SDSU for that matter. I hope they both never win a game EVER, may they rot in hell.

If BwhYU and CSewe go winless I would be pretty damn happy lol and cannot ever root for them, and when they play each other I root for both to lose. Unfortunately that cannot happen, damnit.

I'll root for CSU if I have to - like if they were matched up against BYU in a bowl game. That is if having the ground opening up and swallowing the stadium with players and fans wasn't an option.

Ah...the Boston Red Sox mentality! If one hates the NY Yankees so much, you end up being a fan of their rival.

I hate those people. Seemed to be a lot of them come out of the closet in 2004.
