Call me crazy, but I believe this is the game our running game gets it's shit together. Vigen will be dialing it up, at least I would. It's time.

Ok. You're crazy. But seriously ladies and germs, does anyone remember that Nevada had 500 passing yards just a few weeks ago? We've played 8 games and can't run it against anyone. Let's attack that suspect secondary with our future NFL qb. I think we've all seen enough of 2 and 9 to last a lifetime.

+1

We couldn't even run it on Garden Webber. Let's never run again for the rest of the year

Question is, will CSewe be "up" for it more than Wyoming after last years ass kicking to close out Hughes? Kind of like who was "up" more for the game this past Saturday.

If I were CSewe, I would do everything possible to stop the pass, and make Wyoming run to win. It is no secret we have NO running game whatsoever. AFA beat CSewe last week, all because of TOP. Where is Beaverpoke to talk TOP these days????!!!!

CSUs pass D is suspect. If we can keep pressure off Josh, he'll find success against their secondary. Only run enough to make them think we might run, imo.

CSU will score some points. A few turnovers will help tremendously.
Definitely a winnable game.

CSU will score, and we will also. It will come down to:

Turnovers, I think BSU would have been a different game with a few takeaways but they protected the ball well. We lead the nation in turnover margin and that is one reason we are winning is more opportunities to get the ball in Josh's hands.

We need to establish a running game but I don't think it will dominate. We will have to win through the air using the tight ends and the full backs.

We need special teams to establish good field position.

Remember this is BORDER WAR nothing is for certain. I expect a good game but the Pokes will walk away with the BOOT.

Beat the Sheep.

I think CSU's d line has the ability to finally unlock Wyoming's running game. They got manhandled by AFA olinemen, who are usually in the 260-275 pound range.
I may have to disagree that the Poke O-line will have an advantage. The AFA linemen are quick. They are also "tuned", as it were, to the running game since that is about all AFA does. So the run is their full time job and they do it well. Also note that AFA running game is more than "right up the middle".

I'm not predicting that we'll rush for 200. I just think that we can rush enough to be somewhat balanced against CSU, and may have our best rushing total so far this season.

And we aren't just "right up the middle" either. We don't have a back with speed enough to get to the corner reliably. We haven't opened up enough big holes to rush between the tackles effectively.

Still, I think we can run on CSU. The games of theirs that I've watched the d ends are getting blown off the line 2-4 yards a lot of the time. Any back can get the corner on that.

I don't think we'll set any single game rushing records, but we should be able to have a decent day running on CSU.

34-156...almost 5 yards a carry, and the game winning drive was as smash mouth as an offense can get.

Our ability to run the ball won the game for us....for once this year.
