I know there is a full-blown press conference tomorrow in Laramie with our new coach, but this article in Sunday's Casper Star Tribune is damn good reading. Here is the link:

I particularly liked these comments in the article:
"Christensen can and does talk for hours about turning the corner with the Cowboys, but it's the buzz words that come up every 30 seconds or so that really illustrate how it can be done.
Discipline.
Intensity.
Recruiting.
What largely goes unsaid is energy, but that would be repetitive considering the delivery.
"I think I'm a bit of a disciplinarian," Christensen said. "I think it's important to run an extremely disciplined program because of attention to detail and all the little things. We've always been one of the least penalized teams in our conference and in the country, most times we have a limited number of turnovers, we do a good job protecting the football, taking the ball away and getting turnovers, so turnover margin is going to be critical in our program.
"But I think it's important that you have a very physical, tough, hard-hitting, aggressive football team. We'd like to have the nastiest football team that plays within the rules in the Mountain West Conference, and we'd like to have the most explosive, exciting offense in the Mountain West Conference. Also, the third phase of it is we want to be solid in all special forces and it's our goal to have game-breaking plays in our special teams."
"The standard is in our program, are they good enough to beat BYU, TCU and Utah? If they're not good enough to beat those three people, we can't put them on the field and if they can't develop to be good enough to beat those three, don't recruit them."
There's nothing vague about that."
I can't wait for the new season to start.
