Man's raising all sorts of hell to get the MWC some post season cash. Good for him, I hope he wins in the end. I suspect the WAC will take up this fight eventually, as they've had nice success in the BCS as well.

the WAC  ! Benson is too dumb to do anything.

The WAC won't be taking up that fight anytime soon. The WAC has had some very good teams at the very top of the league, but top to bottom, it isn't close to being strong enough to have a legitimate argument. Boise State is obviously the flagship team in that conference and they look to be poised to be a national power for years to come. After them, there really isn't a school who is a perennial contender. Fresno State had a lot of hype last year, but after they had that close loss to Wisconsin things went downhill quick. I won't say it won't eventually happen a long ways down the road because the Mountain West was in the exact same situation when it was created. With the Mountain West gaining national exposure and respect after this year, I see a lot of recruits who may have considered a WAC school jumping ship to play in the Mountain West. Maybe in another 10 years the WAC might be able to build itself up enough to warrant a serious consideration.

IMHO, what killed off ANY leverage the WAC coulda had whatsoever with the BCS was the 2007 Sugar Bowl massacre at the hands of the Goergia Bulldogs. Had Hawaii had a far better OL and DL, well......

My old junior high's football team had a better OL and DL.

My Hawaii friends still think the WAC is > than the Mountain West which is completely laughable!

They don't want Hawaii to join and I can see why. If they stay in the WAC, they're guaranteed of at least 5-6 wins a year. Only needs 7 to automatically get in the Hawaii Bowl and without the Warriors that bowl is dead!

Hawaii was left out of the MWC for a reason.. travel being one of those things.

Well that..and the fact they were horrible at the time of the split.
