I was drunk last night and for some reason I started thinking about Wyoming football. I started thinking of a trend I've noticed. Wyoming defense, as we all know, can't stop anybody regardless of a team's talent level. Our offense can't do anything on anyone who has more talent and depth than us. That same offense, however, completely dominates teams who has a talent level similar to ours (with the exception of CSU).

I've always had a theory that in any given sport, 80% of a team's performance is talent and depth, 20% of it is coaching. Makes it sound like coaching isn't important but 20% is HUGE, especially with teams at your level. I actually believe that when matched up physically and athletically with a team like us, our offensive coaching is supreme. The evidence is in the points and numbers we have put up.

With the 80% talent factor I speak of against Fresno and Boise, coaching never played into it (recruiting did, and yes I know, that's part of the job). Didn't matter. Our offense didn't match up with the physicality and athleticism of those guys, it wasn't the scheme or the playcalling. The scheme and playcalling dominates other programs.

Obviously, DC needs to go. I'm not advocating that we keep him. There are still people who will see what they want to see and go off about "accepting mediocrity" and not "expecting excellence" again, blah blah blah. I just want to say that I do believe DC is a fantastic offensive coordinator. He has an edge over most, if not all, coaches we played against, he doesn't have the firepower. After we fire him and when he takes an OC position somewhere, I don't think there's any question that team will perform well offensively.

DC needs to go for reasons we already know inside and out, I just wanted to stir the pot and let Doc and Wyovanian and Beaver call each other names and argue for more hours, just on a different topic.

Lol I like this backharlow...
But I was just thinking last night...if Florida decides to keep Muschamp next season, and that's a BIG if, I can see DC landing in Florida as the OC for Muschamp.
They have ties back to the Big12, and Muschamp needs to get an offense down there in a bad way.
Now, he might be fired before he can hire DC, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Christensen down in Gainseville next season, regardless of whether we finish 5-7, 6-6, 6-7, or 7-6 this year.

But on a bright side, maybe the Casper kid Taven Bryan will flip his commitment from UF to Wyo if DC goes down there.

Here are some Florida offensive stats...
Pass yards: 105th
Rush yards: 82nd
Points scored: 112th

Muschamp is doing what he needs on defense, as Florida has the #16 defense in the country.

But doesn't it make sense that Muschamp will try and hire an OC that he knows is successful?
He tried stopping DCs offenses at Mizzou when he was at Texas. He knows what he can bring to an offense, especially with what you said about the firepower backharlow. If DC has 3 stars riding the bench instead of starting, and has 4 and 5 stars battling over playing time, DC's offense would work very well.
Hell, ACS is a starting QB at a winning SEC team. If ACS can do it, Christensen can do it.

The implication there is that you care less than many of us, so why should your opinion(s) be considered as valid and as thought out as people who do care more?

Another implication is that someone who cares so little but starts such a thread is actually just trolling.

Geez, I didn't see anyone trying to start shit. He had some thoughts and posted on them, then he concluded his post with a joke about the way that you 3 bicker. Wasn't a personal attack, just a factual observation...lighten up dude.
