Cowgirls Lose by 21

In a battle for first in the MWC the Cowgirls looked like the Washington Generals tonight playing the Harlem Globetrotters, they could not get a shot to fall. They lost to TCU 68-47. I was there and it was hard to watch.

They couldnt get anything to fall but on the other hand TCU played pretty dirty and it didnt seem to matter :brick:

TCU had the shots falling, no matter what brick they threw up it seemed to fall through the hoop. I do not see TCU being 21 points better then us, Hell I don't see TCU being better than us at all. Everyone knows the old saying about a frogs butt and the sun, well it happened Wednesday night in Laramie.

Speed, athleticism, and depth is what beat the Cowgirls. We came out in the second half a little fatigued and weren't making crisp passes or shots. Granted, TCU put a lot of man pressure on us but if we are going to contend we have to defend the home court. The win at the Pit is a wash now.
We can only go 7 deep, or so it appears, and TCU was going 10. Makes a huge difference when you can sit down for 2 minutes and get a breather.
Granted, pretty much everything the lefty from TCU threw up went in but I only saw 1 senior down the stretch really battling hard to get back in it and that was Jade. Sewell really turned her game up and played very intense. We need more than 1 or 2 players on the court to play with that kind of intensity to beat a team like the Frogs...especially when your shots aren't falling.
I hope they can regroup and steal one in Salt Lake.
