Cowgirls crush Westminster
LARAMIE (AP) — Justyna Podziemska scored 20 points to lead No. 24 Wyoming to a 73-35 victory over Westminster College on Wednesday night.
Jodi Bolerjack added 13 points, while Hillary Carlson had 12 for the Cowgirls (11-1).
The Griffins (12-2) held the game close early in the first half, but a 3-pointer by Podziemska sparked a 28-12 run that gave the Cowgirls a 39-24 halftime lead.
The Cowgirls opened the second half with a 24-3 run and took a 61-27 lead before head coach Joe Legerski sat his starters for the final 10 minutes of the game.
Shannon Evans led Westminster College with 18 points.
