Looks as though the Wyoming Cowgirls won the womens CNFR this last weekend in Casper, and also had an all-around winner. I haven't found a story about in the Wyoming papers yet, but just ran across this in today's Missoula paper. Story from the Missoulian:

Arlee's Picchietti wins roping title
By the Missoulian
CASPER, Wyo. - Arlee's Jessica Picchietti took top honors in breakaway roping at the College National Finals Rodeo on Saturday at Casper Events Center.
Representing Central Wyoming College, she posted a fourth-place time of 3.1 seconds in the short go-round. Her cumulative time for four go-rounds was 15.3 seconds, good enough by two-tenths of a second to give Picchietti a National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association championship.
“It's a once-in-a-lifetime thing to win a national title and right now I'm just living in the moment,” Picchietti said in a phone interview with the Missoulian. “I've been practicing and working at it since I was a little kid and for it to actually happen is pretty amazing.
“I just knew I needed to make a good run tonight and it happened. It all came together, I guess.”
Picchietti, who will compete for Montana as a junior in 2009-10, finished sixth in the women's all-around with 190 points. She did not post a time in goat tying Saturday and ended up 10th overall in that event.
Ronan native Sarah Guenzler, a Montana State cowgirl, finished seventh in goat tying in the short go in 10.9. She also finished seventh overall in the event.
Nikki Steffes of Wyoming was crowned women's all-around champion. Wyatt Smith of Montana Western is the men's all-around champ.
The University of Wyoming women and the West Texas State men won the team titles.
