Somebody's got his tongue in the O'Doyle's Stout.

Washington REDSKINS.

Yeah you're a racist!
I'm a lot tougher than you are.

Yes I am! I'm a REDSKINS, CHIEFS, INDIANS, WARRIORS, BRAVES, FIGHTING IRISH, BLACKHAWKS, FIGHTING SIOUX, loving, kind of racist!

Have a good night, hun.

The only Native American nickname I can't STAND is Savages. Several high schools here in Oklahoma have that nickname. Pisses me off and I'm white!!!!

The OC is calling a game like he's got a talent advantage at NDSU. Play calling has got to change when you realize that certain plays don't work the same way with inferior/inexperienced talent. Where's the boot game, screens, and quick hitters behind the blitzing backers and safeties? Play calling can help mask crap oline play...so too can quick decisions by the qb.

I agree with this point...Vigen needs to help his young Oline out with better plays for blitzes. He is calling games like he has a personnel advantage, which he doesn't yet have. I also think Vigen lacks experience with FBS level blitz packages. You don't see that same level at FCS, and with FBS teams he has faced, they may not have rolled complex packages out for their early OOC FCS matchups. In that regard, Vigen may need to learn and grow like his young offense.

So how about that football game...
Hill got over 100 yards on the ground.

Wyoming is now 1-8 in games where Hill goes over 100 yards rushing.

How we loving that Pro-Style offense now? We've got to be the only team that when they get down 2+ score, they run between the tackles EVEN MORE.
What's our record when he runs under 100 yards?

Vigen has always been a hated man at NDSU. His only coaching experience before NDSU was 9man In North Dakota. So chew on that. NDSU is defense defense defense since 2006 & his arrival as offensive in 2009 was also the same time NDSU got its amazing recruiting class of 2009 with 4-5 nfl players.

So in our eyes, he never did anything fancy , he never WON a game for NDSU as our defense did it

Lakes, you make it sound like he's got 3yrs of total experience. He was a coach at NDSU since 1998. That fact doesn't make him a good or bad coach, although it could reflect a fairly rigid philosophy (he served under two head coaches total including Bohl).

Prediction: if Bohl sticks with both Vigen and Stanard then Bohl will be fired at the end of his 5th season or before.
So by then we will hire a spread guy and the process starts all over again.

He was a GA then a TE coach and QB coach from 1998 to 2009. When he was made O coordinator in 2009 after really zero experience in play calling ( pat Perles of michigan st was before him) that's when NDSU he an amazing defensive recruiting class to push us towards the natl titles. Vigen was on hot seat many times . Even had a thread called "fire vigen, save season". Then we won 3 titles haha

BOHL will never do a Spread offense, he wants defense and ball control time of possession

You can do a defense first, ball control spread. Those aren't mutually exclusive. Snyder at KSU basically does just that

Ignore Hill's stats, just watch him run the ball. If you can't recognize his talent, then you need to watch more football.

Fumbles were both his fault. Without them, this was a ball game.

Like I said in the other thread, the pro-style isn't bad and actually has a lot more options that can be run from it. Our style of the pro-style isn't great, IMO. I really like BSU's version once Peterson took over the O.

I just have a feeling that the Pokes are going to play themselves a heck of a game tomorrow, we may not win, but I do believe we'll play perhaps our best game of the season to date.

I like this thought. The effort can be there. I see it. Big plays may likely do us in, though. Opponents really exploited that. That is, unless Bohl has a trick up his sleeve to get the defense to tighten play up.

Air Force 31
Wyoming 17

Nice call! I am most impressed that you correctly guessed we would make a field goal.

From what I saw of Peterson's offense, it was more of a multi-set than any one kind of offense. Some pistol, some spread, some power I, some wildcat, and a few others.

As I say that, Vigen employs a lot of the same things, but the plays are all too often the wrong kind of plays needed at the time.

Very true. People hear "pro-style" and assume 3 yards and a cloud of dust, or "spread" and assume Baylor or Oregon up tempo no huddle. That's not always a safe assumption. Wisconsin with Russell Wilson was mostly a "pro-style" and like i said, Snyder runs a slow paced spread system. I wish Bohl wasn't as stubborn about running "pro-style," at least not just yet
