Amazing how everyone rips Cameron Cauffman for every bad throw. Fact is the offensive line is the reason he cannot set his feet to throw. Also the way everyone gives Hill a pass for two fumbles, and a tipped pass that was Hills fault that it got picked. Three turnovers 21 points. BTW Hill only has one win while being a starter. Yet the blame is always on Cauffman. Look at the receivers he has to work with, And the line? When will folks understand you can't run Bohls system of power football with shitty linemen. We will never ever get the line to make this offense legit enough to win
games. At least the spread allowed us to play with undersized linemen and most times we could definitely average more then 17 points a game. But let's all remember the big Fresno Win last year!!! :rofl: :rofl: time to move on .

Like I have said before and since last season, Vigen's play calling is truly bewildering. I am not defending Vigen's play calling, in fact, I have been pretty outspoken of it for sometime.spindoctor02 said:

Turned it on at work right at the 14-3 mark in the 3rd quarter. Pokes were driving then hit that big pass, then of course that red zone fumble. Rest of the game was fun after that :roll: At least I got to see that Wyo special moment which has been a trademark this season. The back breaking momentum TO at the worst possible time that completely changes the game......dark times these are....I can't see a thing. I don't think we're gonna win a game now.

I get it. But teams are willing to give us the occasional 20 yard run, while the rest of our drives go 3 and out. Look at play breakdown. It's a fucking sham. Give a guy 30 carries and 100 yards and the fans actually buy into it. I don't give a shit about 100 yard games. We are fucking 1-10 with this stupid smoke and mirrors shit. Take those other 20 reps and spread the fucking ball to someone that can get positive yards on 80% of those plays and we may even win.

I'd have to say as a devil's advocate that a lot of coffman's production this season has come in garbage time too. At least it feels that way.
I'd have to think that they'd chuck the ball more if they had as much confidence in his ability not to choke when it matters most. To coaches it seems as if running up the gut repeatedly is the safest thing to do...except when you fumble the ball.
Play calling was terrible and didn't help matters at all. Very predictable and bland. The OC is calling a game like he's got a talent advantage at NDSU. Play calling has got to change when you realize that certain plays don't work the same way with inferior/inexperienced talent. Where's the boot game, screens, and quick hitters behind the blitzing backers and safeties? Play calling can help mask crap oline play...so too can quick decisions by the qb. The offensive game planning is stuck in this lala land of ill-fated stubbornness.
Anyway, there were at least two deep balls that would have resulted in scores or at least more yardage if the qb actually threw the receiver open. The 44 yarder was a touchdown if he would have given the receiver a chance to run under the ball. Same with the one that was picked off but was ruled a PI instead.
Both times the receiver had a step on the DB and both times the ball was under thrown giving the DB time to close.
