Before anyone jumps to conclusions about this team and looking sluggish. Let's remember:

1) We are on a neutral court and these dudes have been going to schools all day

2) It is hard to get going in exhibition games, hell top 15 lose to exhibition games.

Not sure maybe they don't feel they need him and need to get the bench experience unlike out football team getting any game time.

Not a terrible start too many turnovers imo they need to work on that. I know I know first game but still. Shooting 50% from 3's I do like that it's certainly an upgrade for us as a team.

I heard Gags tweeted that Washington will not play in the first two exhibition games as part of his suspension from last April.

Yup really liking what I am hearing for his shooting. He is going to be a great asset!

I'm excited for this basketball season. I love Shyatt coached teams. Love the way they play defense. Nance sounds like he is going to be improved. We seem to be playing decent without our best player playing although I know the competition isn't that great but getting all these guys more playing will help.

Nance and Cooke really got us into the game with their rebounding before the end of the first half.

On defense, the Pokes didn't give up a point for six minutes in the second half. That turned a close game into the blow-out it should be. It's good to see the kids take the coaching at half and come out and execute the game plan.

The Cowgirls cruised in the first game. The Cowboys are playing lights out in the second half tonight.

You couldn't ask for a better way to start the season.

Young kids learn the hard way sometimes but I have faith he will be coached properly and I am so over football and realllllllly excited for basketball!

Yet extremely happy for all the dunks he had during the game. That kid is exciting.
