Seriously, we weren't able to do anything to stop them inside the 20 - did Long figure their defense was so torched that we'd score at will?
 
Great win! I still think the last play should never even have happened. How does our clock person not start the clock at all on the ball they spiked. The play clock ran 2 to 3 seconds on that. Should not have even had 1 second left

Yeah, that's a great point. They took off only one second, and as the commentators pointed out, it was definitely at least 2 that ran off. The opposite of home field advantage, or whatever they called it.
 
We don't have a problem with small fast backs, we have a real big problem with strong backs capable of breaking tackles.

I'm glad it ended like that. If the refs would have let the call stand, we would be listening to SDSU fans bitch about it for the next 30 years. :D
 
So...

Hill managed to get good yards and 2 TDs despite them loading the box.
Allen had a couple of mistakes, but more than made up for them with laser throws and very key runs.
Wacha did have one costly missed tackles, but also made a LOT of great defensive plays.
Rothe was solid again, the two shorter kickoffs they scored on, and the out of bounds one were into the wind.
Defense overall managed some pressure and stopped enough of the run even after Appleby went down.
CJ Johnson has a big game when Gentry sees a lot of coverage.

Now they'll bitch about a pass play when we've corralled Pumphery all game.
