Cowboy Fans, I need your thoughts/opinions!

I'm part of a multimedia production company that is looking into branching towards what is considered "under-appreciated" or "under-utilized" markets, such as Wyoming and its conference.

We would love your insight into some projects that might be coming up, if you would do me a huge favor and fill out this survey and give your opinions!

It's just a quick 16-question survey on sports media that will really help us find out the direction we are going. Please answer as honestly as possible.
The survey will not only help us internally, but will also assist advertisers in understanding the views of fanbases such as yours.

Take the link and post it to your fellow fans/friends to see if they will fill it out too to help us get a greater amount of opinions/thoughts.

This is not a scam, you won't win anything for filling it out, it's just a simple survey that will help determine some moves we'd like to make and your thoughts on sports media.

Thanks so much.

Here's the survey:

For what it's worth, advertisers and the national media don't give a rodent's backside about Wyoming or almost anybody else in the area. Why? Because the Mountain Time Zone contains only 6% of the nation's population. This is hardly worth pouring much money into securing their attention.

Actually, he posted this over on the mwcboard, and it takes like 5 minutes. The closest to becoming personal as it becomes is asking what age group your in. Otherwise, just asking for your opinion on a site dedicated to non-AQ schools/conferences.

I am not critisizing the survey. It is probably worthwhile and takes little time or effort. I was hitting on the media and advertisers who won't support mountain states specific endeavors that won't bring in big revenue.

While it may be true that there's only 6% of the national population represented in the Mountain Time Zone, we don't consider those numbers completely.

For instance, the Big East or ACC may have a ton of metro population represented in its fanbase...but the market is very saturated. The small percent of people we could grab within those conferences, although it would be a good number, would probably still be equal to the higher percentage of people we could obtain within a conference like the Mountain West.

And we believe fans from conferences like the Mountain West would appreciate the coverage more, considering how low the coverage level is nationally.

Nowadays, an engaged/participating audience is far more valuable to advertisers than just numbers. At least, the type of advertisers we are looking at.

Since you are bringing percentages into this discussion, what do you think the percentage of the population in the MWC footprint would be that support their college sports teams relative to the rest of the country? I'm betting it is a higher percentage than in the rest of the country. Take just San Diego for example - what would that percentage be?

NHL gamecenter type app/website for the mwc. Would be huge. I would pay to stream all conference games. Love getting push notifications on goals, end of period, end of game etc. someone needs to tell the hair.
