Countdown To Spring Ball

Sounds like the guys are pretty eager to prove themselves, I like it!

Just a question as I really don't follow twitter than what's posted here, but did we see any kind of excitement like this under the previous staff?

Excitement? Yes.
The excitement was just generally coming from the fact that they were going to get to play football again.

Excitement about getting better and ready to prove themselves? Yes.
It came from players like Brett Smith and Shaun Wick though.

Excitement about getting better and ready to prove themselves and make the program go in a different way by almost the entire team? No.
Never under DC was the ENTIRE program this motivated and this determined.

This could be a good thing. A REALLY good thing.

Thought I'd come over and see how my second favorite MWC team was doing. I've gotta say, from the outside looking in, I think this could be the start of something great for Poke football. I'm excited. I want to see the kind of epic Poke - Aggie battles that Merlin Olsen played in. I want to see the Mountain division dominate the West division. I want to have to fight to keep that rifle out of your hands.

I think USU should worry about Boise, or Fresno, not Wyo.

If you're on the top, why not worry about your foes at the top with you.

Wyo likely won't be anything to worry about for a few years, unless we get a QB.

Did someone hack beavers account? This is the most negative and ridiculous statement I've ever seen you make. And for the first time I vehemently disagree with it. The cowboys are going to good. VERY GOOD. This season. With the current system we need a game manager QB not a superstar like CDC required. We may not challenge for a conference title this year but we will be "Bohl"ing this season
 
No shit....this team will be competing starting next year QB or not. This will be a tough nosed defensive team that will also hit you in the mouth on offense. The MWC better take notice.

Agree 100%. Bohl won't settle for mediocrity
 
I'm surprised by both sides.
1. Beav being so negative. Something happen to you? Like McPeachy put a "I'm a Sheep fan!" on your car?
2. Other people hyper-inflating (never thought I would use that term on a sports forum outside Beav) their expectations for Bohl in season 1.

Do I expect to see improvement? Yes, of course. Do I expect that to translate into wins immediatly? Not so much.
 
Any improvement will equal more wins. This will be a down league this year. And DC and his crew were able to achieve 4 to 6/7 wins a year in a stronger league. We return the most starters of any MWC team. And these guys have something to prove. The only thing daunting about next year is our OOC schedule.

Hell yes! Rivalry games are supposed to be a fight! I'm kind of partial to Utah State myself. Very similar school to Wyoming. We can hate the sheep and the Aggies can be our "friendly" rivalry. Good luck to you guys this season. I hope that Chuckie comes back better than ever!
