Could UNLV be a trap game

I highly, highly doubt Bohl doesn't keep these kids focused, but going to LV although we don't go for the glitz and glamour and don't stay anywhere near the strip, could we stumble up and lose focus thinking about the biggie the next week at home vs SDSU. I sure hope not, as most of us do as well NO LETDOWNS. We cannot overlook these pesky Rebels at all. Razor sharp Pokes, get er done!!!! glad it's not a night game!!!!!

Brian Hill goes for 200 3 TD's and Josh Allen has over 300 yds passing, hey why not

How many times are we going to use the phrase "trap game?" Go out and kick the shit out of who you're playing.

I agree man totally, but we've seen our Pokes year in and year out lose focus against someone we should kick the crap outta, but maybe, and hopefully we've got a team that doesn't worry about being on the road and get it done!!!! just sayin

I feel like we're not good enough to overlook anybody. It's nice to be a favorite and all, but a few bad turnovers is all it takes to give all the momentum to a team we should be beating. If I as a fan don't take any games for granted, then I have a feeling Bohl won't either.

Me neither, but I sure can't wait til we do have that team where we know they'll go on the road and dominate, this could be a start of that!!!

Agreed Stymie. This one says "Let Down" more than any game on our schedule since EMU, and I called that piss poor performance.

If we're going to see another flat performance by the football team, I'm betting this is it.

I also agree with Lax. We use that term too much, almost as much as our opponents say, "Wyoming beat us because it was their super bowl." You can't have seven super bowls per season, can you?

After the Boise and the USU game, the Pokes have solidified themselves in my mind. With the way their offense is clicking I don't think there are many teams out there that they couldn't move the ball effectively on, certainly not in the MWC. I agree, now is not the time to get cocky but at some point we have to buy into the success as fans and realize that they are going to come out and compete every Saturday.

I don't think there will be an EASY game the rest of the year. Every game will have to be our best to date. I think Bohl gets that. You don't win consecutive national titles, at any level, without being able to motivate and keep your team focused. I think we win this weekend.

While I love where this team is at right now, they are simply not quite good enough yet to look past any team. I think the 3rd quarter against USU showed what happens when they lose focus and the coaches decide to go conservative instead of balls to the wall. I'm pretty sure Bohl has their undivided attention and there won't be many lapses in focus or attention. He says 1 game at a time, and I think the kids feel the same way. Right now the only game that counts is UNLV.

I've noticed the read option kicks our butt. Nebraska ran a little bit. EMU ran some and USU was running it well in the 3Q. Does UNLV run any read-option?

Completely agree. However, in the past few games, only the Boise game was close. With a young team, there is still a chance for a letdown...like the 3rd quarter against USU. The Pokes did pull it together when they needed to and cruised.

If the Pokes want to get a MWC title, they will need to play 4 solid quarters of football, in each game, from here on out.

I have faith and think the team is focused on that task.

Team's staying at the MGM Grand. Which is on the Strip.

I don't think we lose this game without an epic collapse. The cowboys are the superior team and if we lose it'd because we play our worst game of the year.

This team is feeding off wins and wants to be champions so I do not see the pokes playing there worst game.

This teams different, they have matured and understand the task at hand. Bohl will have them ready - they will be focused. They may have some defensive lapses and give up a play or two, but they will be sharp and ready to play. They've grown up a lot since EMU.

Haven't seen a lick of UNLV, and I never speculate. I do know we can score points in bunches, and the Reb's will have to stop our prolific Offense. If they somehow can accomplish that it could be tight. With USU, we weren't ready for Hobbs and his style of play. We get some pieces back on D that will cause some disruption for their Offense. I like our chances, and by the way we were a +5 at home against the Aggies and we performed much better than many suspected. Keep the course and run the horse....this is going to be a fun finish, one game at a time. Go Cowboys!

I think young teams can have a wtf game any weekend. I'm not sure there are trap games as much as the next growing pain can happen at any time.
