I lurk here every now and then and registered just to post this. Congrats on winning the MWC tourney and on making the NCAA tourney. How exciting! Make us proud!!

Agreed, Murray is definitely my #1 snub, not the Rams, or others that are getting the "first four out" label (Richmond, Temple, CSU, and it might have been Old Dominion?)

Screw the big conferences. The committee keeps on putting in mediocre big conference crap teams. It annoying! UCLA? Texas? Indiana? Why does no one ask why 18-13 Oklahoma State got in?
Seriously? The reason behind UCLA was that there eye test showed that they were starting to play better... Okay. OK State finished the season going 2-7. And they were not all losses to the big time conf schools either! They were losing to Texas tech and TCU. Why do they deserve a bid? And not just any bid, but damn, they are seeded higher than a lot of better teams.

Lot's of negativity in ramville. I'm disappointed, I think they made the wrong decision, but really it's our own fault. Teams like CSU are never going to be given the benefit of the doubt. I think their resume was tourney worthy but there just wasn't enough differentiation to make them a lock. CSU needs to either play some real teams OOC (not just game the RPI) or win more MWC games (the road loss @ Boise that CSU was leading late and/or the Wyo sweep is probably what did CSU in). No matter how high your RPI is coming in 3rd and making an early conference tourney exit in what is considered to be a down year doesn't look terribly impressive.

And add in that they sat Avila against SDSU thinking we were a lock (not sure if it would have made a difference), how laughably presumptuous in hindsight.

Agreed. Not only did they get in, they were in easily.

Personally I think Temple was the biggest snub, followed by CSU and Murray.

Temple and UCLA had the same Top 50 record, Temple had a much better Top 100 record and Temple's marquee win (KU) was much better than UCLA's (Utah?).
