A fair assessment.

UTEP was only added because there is a population in El Paso and they were a cheap get. No other teams besides NMSU were interested in the Mountain Worst Conference.

I like Murray, he gives a straight assessment even of Nevada unlike the Wyoming media which is part of the problem as they don't hold Burman or anybody at UW to any sort of accountability.

Almost every media writeup in Wyoming is nearly identical to the release from the athletic department. There are very few individual media writers in Wyoming that are empowered to do anything more than the local high school teams and most of them are more likely to replicate a UW release than an actual independent writeup.

I don’t subscribe to any Wyoming media. It seems like CST has really steered away compared to years gone by when KTWO was the flagship media outlet. It seems like Alex Taylor in Cheyenne is the most likely to make a pointed commentary anymore.

Message boards are currently the best way to get insight simply because of the ability to connect dots with the internet. For instance, I saw something this morning about UW looking at a D2 QB but I don’t do X so I am waiting for someone on this board to come across it because I know Wyoming media is highly unlikely to relay the information anytime soon.
