Concept Helmets

I wouldn't want our boys wearing them. Try putting john wayne on them an see how cool they look!
 
I think those designs might be a younger crowd thing. I know a few of my friends really like them but I understand you guys not. I think this one would be cool to do for the border war if they could get the colors right. I would do a white helmet with brown facemask. Then for the steamboat I would do a bronze steamboat (make it really look like bronze metal) outlined in brown.

I think for the bronze boot next year, instead of Steamboat put a gold (bronze) boot with 3 or III or something on it...taunt the sheep a little.

I like the sentiment, but that's far too likely to blow up in our faces.

How about a full page ad of your concept in the Coloradoan the week before the Border War?
 
Make them very light weight. Put a sunglass color shield in the front. Add a Beau Geste style Foreign Legion neck shield in the back to protect against the sun. Sell them to fans in the stands.
 
They don't look bad per se, but I think they're too Boise-like for my tastes. I agree with the previous poster that I wouldn't be opposed to a gold helmet with brown decals. While we're at it, can we lose the stripes or "antennaes" of any kind. Unless you're going to go with full stripes, why bother? Also, loose the "Cowboys" down the sides of the pants. I've always liked the brown pants when Wyoming had worn them over the years, but the word down the legs is awful.
 
if you went with the same concept but put steamboat back on it, it would look cool. Steamboat over the whole side of the helmet would be awesome.
 
Call me too conservative or whatever, but there is no alternative to Steamboat in my mind. Play with the colors and stripes all you want, but Steamboat is the best there is at any level, is non-negotiable and cannot be improved upon.

Perhaps if pistol Pete had a steamboat on the crown of his hat instead of "cowboys" under the brim I would like it better....I just can't imagine the pokes playing without a steamboat somewhere on the helmet
 
What if you did pistol Pete on the players left side of the helmet with a steamboat on the players right side. Boise puts numbers on the right of theirs with big bronco on the other side but I would like a steamboat instead of numbers.
