The Ravens have egg on their face for defending him. I find it hard to believe that neither the Ravens nor the NFl had any idea of the contents of the video. If I am the Ravens, I absolutely request the video many months ago from Rice or Rice's attorney knowing full well that it will get released to the public at some point in this day and age.

I don't kow why everyone is flipping out now that the video is out but didn't before. What did they think happened in the elevator. He admitted he hit here and she was unconcious when they came out of the elevator. It was pretty clear what happened. The video added very little in my opinion. So I am glad they cut him and suspended him but why didn't that happen weeks or months ago.
My response has not changed. From the moment the first video came out, I thought he should be gone (thus the reference to the toothless, nutless NFL). We generally knew what took place in the elevator - and this new video confirms it and confirms my view that the NFL's "punishment" was light be several orders of magnitude.

He is just being used to set an example for all the other players, No audio leaves the mind to run wild and before they got into the elevator she hit him. Could have been a friend hit or could have been a serious hit we don't know.

No it shows she moved towards him swinging and he laid her out. But we all know that females yell and scream before swinging. He shouldn't have done it either way and that I agree with but abusive women do exist my ex was one of them.

Exactly. So, the NFL's policy is first offense is a six-game suspension... unless we actually see what it looked like? Goodell's done as commissioner...whyoh said:

Goodell will be gone by Friday. I don't feel sorry for the man paid $44 million/year that has consistently made terrible decisions and/or outright lied.
