Uso Olive commitment is awesome, I think he looks really good. I will have to check out these other guys. Sounds like they had fun snowmobiling.

very excited about Uso...he's already about 290!!! I think the other 3 look solid as well, should be a good little group. Washington is quickly becoming our new hot bed for recruiting.

What are the chances we can pull Jordan Pulu from Washington State with these two in his ears?

Exactly what I was thinking. The 2 Federal Way commitments look good by themselves, but if somehow Jordan Pulu came this way, it would be even better.

Olive reminds me of Fred Givens only quicker and with a better motor. Probably stronger as well. And Fred was a stud.

This could be a REALLY good class. I have a feeling we're going to land a couple big impact recruits that nobody has mentioned yet. Pulu's film is impressive...he's ready to step in at mlb and play next year.

Yamen Sanders and Jordan Pulu come on down. I just did the Haka naked while spitting Copenhagen on Biggie Smalls' picture and sacrificing a virgin in Old Faithful.

Those guys would really fit well in a defense that has potential to be loaded.

The interior of our line was our weakness. Let's look at it now.

Patrick Mertens is back. He is a Wyoming freshman of the year, Phil Steele freshman All-American, and a valuable member of the trench crew. Mike Purcell has proven his worth on the interior. Like my girlfriend just said moments ago, "He needs some friends on the line." He'll get bigger and he's already a force. Uso Olive is a key signing for this program. He's a "rank bull" on the interior with disproportionate speed to exploit. The other spot in the two deep falls to the bodies we have in the system and available scholarships. We're going to be just fine on the interior. Now add some athletic defensive ends in Willis, Puletasi, and Yarborough and Wyoming has a line that will be dominant when they are veterans and extremely dangerous as youngsters.

At linebacker we get Shober and Nzeocha back. Pulu would be a great fit at linebacker. With Jones and Muhammad we've got a lot of guys with athleticism, the ability to cover, and some size to stop the run. I feel great about the linebacker spot.

At db we're already strong and young with Huff and Burns. We've got a couple of lockdown corners that can catch. With the addition of Jashawn Jordan Wyoming now has nickle depth that can dominate in man to man and produce a lot of interceptions.

Safety is the spot where the defense probably needs the most help right now. There's a chance that a freshman could sign and win the starting job at safety. I love Yamen Sanders and think he would be a perfect fit on a defense that will not lose many games in the next few seasons.

Throw in a punter that can smoke the ball in Tim Goddamn and Wyoming's defense has potential to be truly dominant.

I'm amped. With Boise losing almost their entire two deep and us hosting SDSU, Boise, AFA, and CSU, we are going to have to be considered as the dark horse for a league title.

Well, outside of TCU and the sheep, none of the other teams (that beat us or kept it close) return enough key players for next year. And TCU is off to the Big 12-2+1-2 and the sheep are undergoing a coaching change and Boise loses pretty much everyone. If we're not one of the favorites to win the conference next year, we'll need to re-evaluate many things.

Wyoming is the biggest enigma of the MWC. There were times they were great in 2011, and times they were nothing short of awful. That Temple game is what keeps me from dubbing the Cowboys as a title contender, but we'll just have to wait and see. Every time we come close to crowning Wyoming, they pull a 2010-season on everyone. I could see Wyoming going 9-3 next season. I could also see them going 4-8. Can they put back-to-back successful seasons? I don't think anyone can honestly answer that question. Like I said, the biggest enigma in the MWC will be interesting to watch next season.

I don't care how good anyone thinks we will be and how bad BSU and SDSU could be projected to be those two schools WILL be picked to be above us

Who cares where teams are picked? The result on the field is the only thing that matters. It's better to surprise people with how good you are than to disappoint the fans by not meeting the world's expectations.

Love the pickup of Uso Olive. 290 lbs on a 6'1 frame. You have to that he'll be a mismatch with his short stature yet big body. He's obviously bigger than Hoffschneider was as far as height and even weight goes, but that kid proved that you don't have to be a giant to be successful as long as you have leverage, strength, and skill :)

If Olive can hit about 310 he's going to be a nightmare for offensive lines. Heck, I think he can be great even as a freshman at his current weight if coached correctly. :)

I just saw that Bleacher Report has us projected as 8th next season ahead of only NM and UNLV. Once again, the boys will have to prove it on the field.

Bleacher Report is the biggest joke first of all, anyone can write for them. They don't know what they are talking about, let's wait until spring ball at the earliest, if not August to see where people are putting us
